After stabbing myself quite painfully in the tip of my finger while using a bent out staple to open my sim tray I have been forced to order the appropriate tool. It costs more to have them delivered than it does to buy them. The most irritating thing is that I know I have some in the house.

Was just looking into "modern unix tools" as I tend to do sometimes; came across this and am blown away folks are fine with yolo-ing binaries off the internet 😬 whether it be through npm, this tool, or the many other avenues (eg. the common place curling a script from the internet and running it 🙃 )

@wavesculptor PS We've had to accept that the biggest and most complex panels won't get done before Christmas.So that means that we things manually. When I say "we" what I really mean is my friends and allies will be in on Monday and Tuesday and flip a bunch of switches to turn things off one by one. It;ll be different in 2026. Along the way we've uncovered a pile of systems that work poorly and have done for years. And this taking me down a deep maintenance rabbit hole… #GAH!!!

From what I am sadly hearing the tariffs had nothing to do with the pricing that was just Nintendos pure greed. That or they see how pissed everyone is and is assessing how they can do this. Either way Switch 2 preorders pushed back to unspecified date

#gah is an #GitHub Releases app #installer, that DOES NOT REQUIRE #SUDO! It is a simple #bash #script that downloads the latest release of an app from GitHub and installs it in ~/.local/bin. It is designed to be used with apps that are distributed as a single binary file.

Mais le jeu n’a pas de dépendance au langage. Vous pourriez donc maintenant tout à fait acquérir la version anglaise.

Cela vaut le coup si vous avez déjà bien usé le jeu de base.

Cette extension corrige a priori le défaut du jeu à +2 joueurs

What's the best way to cut a hole in the sheet metal front of a washing machine?
With my washer, you don't get to the filter via the back panel OR a front access panel. No, no, no! You have to take off the top of the machine, then the electronic control panel, then the whole front panel (with door) - but that is attached to the drum via the big rubber gasket - so you don't really take it off, you just lever it out barely enough to sneak a hand in there to open the filter port. #GAH

@zapaman As I don't have a heat meter/MMS I can only get COPs from the pump itself. It's kind of maddening that the pumps provide so little readable/useful output. All the data is tucked away , either buried in menus and submenus, or you need to put in an extra board to be able to read the various sensors on the pumps (as Glyn has done for his Samsung). Even the "energy generated" is not defined in the manuals. Sometimes it means total heat. For others it means total heat – mains input. #gah

My doofus AC froze up on me today. I thought I could just run it down, but once it gets really icy, running just makes everything worse. So, the entire system is off, and it is making little ice-fall-down noises behind me, as the water drips out of it, into a shipping box lined with a trashcan liner.
