I have people I met through Twitter I would drop everything and get on a plane for - communities whole and healthy all over the world. I've gone to see a woman who had a huge influence on my life, who helped save my life, as cancer took hers.
The #SOMT and #FuzzDnD exists because of Twitter! Those folks are my family.
That is gone. It was a unicorn, and it was amazing while it lasted, but I don't think Twitter/Social will ever exist like that again - we let the algorithm out of the bag.

For most of my life, I would have told you I wasn't funny. I didn't have a sense of humor - I skipped having one installed.
Turns out that's not true, I just have a very dry, erudite, slightly batshit sense of humor, and I needed to find other nerds to laugh at memes with.
It's actually really comforting to share stories and know that my friends and I all make each other laugh.

(A sending stone is basically a walkie-talkie that works between two people, three times a day, to cast the spell Sending)
