If you want to get a server or an IP address of IPv6-only, will you try to do it and adapt to this evolving world? Today, amongst other things, I'm going to have to think about and prepare for migrating off AWS and somewhere else, likely within the UK.

I could be optimistic and pretend that the UK and EU remain in sufficient equilibrium over data but perhaps I shouldn't.

@vfrmedia @ak I usually head for open source tools when a company is showing signs it is becoming #userhostile. Or if I don't already use a closed source tool. This may be the last closed source tool I still reach for. Usually the threshold to switch is 2x better in some category. In this case I'm struggling to see what 2x improvement they can offer. Even the risk of #futureproofing is a low risk here as #ltspice doesn't phone home for #licenses or save things on the #cloud. #enshittification?

There's actually a rule I realize I should probably prescribe to for things like tattoos and plushies/ornaments/merch etc.
Anything live service-y has the potential to fail. Meanwhile something that's placing stones all over the place is, set in stone. So opt for the stones, not the subscriptions. This has the least chance of failure. A game like Sonic, made its mark on my life. I have a Tails plushie I will never regret. Because of how we remember Tails. #gaming #futureproofing #futureproof

Data Manipulation Initial Planning Is A Crucial Aspect Of Any Project, & It's One Of My Favourite Parts!

I still prefer to do this phase 'old school', with a large piece of (portable) paper, pencil, and eraser, revisiting and adjusting as needed, often the next day as it has percolated overnight...
During this phase, I list constraints, data validation needs, design a broad framework, and determine interactions while trying to future-proof as much as possible. I bring in my requirements and questions from my initial JIRA ticket(s) - and then use these to develop and evolve business rules, along with a process diagram construction.
From there, it's all on to SQL and manual testing in PostgreSQL + PostGIS and finally prototype app construction - for the devs to then take and make it work fast and well!

I grow tired of the poor internet in my area and the problems within my home.

We get fibre to the cabinet here... the cabinet is a long way off and we're currently getting 43Mb... that used to be 60Mb.

I'm forced into using powerline adapters because the wifi signal of the ISP router is so bad it can't reach upstairs.

If I'm lucky, that's giving me 30Mb.

Once I can work on my lounge/office. I'll be installing Cat 7 ethernet cable & a 2.5GB switch for the home.
