A good result. Not perfect, but good. What was unexpected was that the disappearing glass has a bit of a halo around each piece and the squares turned into circles. Obviously the hooks need to be more even, so I need to find a method to manage the placement for the remaining panels. I'm happy with this one.

Fun and risk in glass today. I pushed the envelope with today's firing. I love this and am sharing the before picture because, if this fails, I will be too embarrassed to show it. 🫣
TL;DR technical details.
This needs to go to tack fuse temperature to make the cabs fuse over the wire loops and to soften sharp edges. The musical decal is supposed to survive that temp, but would do better at a lower temp. The misty opaline dots do best when not fired too many times and may change color. The real wild cards are the black star, circles and squares. They are a type of glass that is no longer made. It starts disappearing at temps like this and it also has a different annealing temp. I rushed the firing up and down in the risk zone to try and minimize loss and I changed the annealing temp and time. I have no clue how this will look when I open the kiln tomorrow.
