The NSA has released documents related to its brief ban on Furbies in the late 1990s. An FOIA request by a Twitter user led to the release of over 60 pages of documents, including internal discussions and a damage control memo. The documents show that the NSA was concerned about the toy's ability to "learn" using an "artificial intelligence chip" and potentially repeat classified information it had heard.
