  1. The irony of FA's notifications being broken while their 404 April Fools banner is still up is absolutely not lost on me.

  2. I apparently should be treating this as endearing no matter what!!

Consider my mind changed, then XD

  4. furaffinity 🤔🤔🤔
(I have a whole buncha filtering/blocking setup on my network/devices so personally don't really care but still... WOW)

  5. CW: On content filtering and tagging (Inkbunny)

For a long time, #inkbunny has been a furry gallery site much-maligned by the 'mainstream' furry community for its liberal content policies. As #furaffinity and #sofurry have tightened restrictions around certain subject matters, IB has remained pretty open. Many people avoid it for that reason.

But it's very easy to set it up to exclude tags you're uncomfortable with. I hope that with #tagging being front of mind during the twitter migrations, more artists might consider IB as an option again. Its UI and tagging system is arguably the best of any furry gallery site.

  6. Posted my artwork to itaku dot ee site and got crickets (except my fellow artist friend's likes). I think #furaffinity is the best. I'm not exclusively making furry art but still pretty welcomed there. Other artists dropping comments & favorites casually 😌

  7. Random Thought!

Similar to @bsky.brid.gy - Is there a (at least one way) bridge to follow Artists on #FurAffinity ?

  8. HELP🚨Where To Sell My Collection of #Art by Other Artists?

I need help paying off my overdue loans ASAP

To help, I'm going to offer for sale a large part of my #furryart collection*.
    Some if the #artists included:
    #Blotch, #Bernal, and #DarkNatasha

Where is the best place to #auction them individually?
The #DealersDen site? #FurAffinity? Somewhere else?
(some of the pieces are mature)

    I appreciate input!! :neocat_sign_thx:

  9. CW: FurAffinity Thoughts

People have been encouraging me to give FurAffinity another shot but I still have some complicated feelings on it. I had a negative experience with the admin, but honestly it's been a long enough time that I should've gotten over it by now.

Honestly, my bigger issue is that there isn't much for non-artists to do on the site. I still browse and favorite art, I just don't have a gallery and don't post journals. No one ever really engaged with the journals anyway. I think I'm getting everything I can out of the site without needing to actively socially engage with it.

I also still don't like centralized moderation. The new mod staff seems decent, but trying to do one-size-fits-all moderation for a huge community is really difficult and prone to creating problems.

I dunno. What are all y'all's thoughts on FurAffinity?

  10. Logged in to #deviantart for the first time in a while and the first thing I see is a fucking bot trying to sell #AI generated character adopts. I sewar, all platforms should have mandatory AI tag for all AI generated content and an option to report such content if it doesn't have that tag.

Does #furaffinity suffer from the same case?

  11. I uploaded one of my newest artworks on #furaffinity
You already know it, but I gave it some more contrast for the gallery version, so I thought I might post it here again, too ^.^ also a good opportunity to advertise my FA again hehe

  12. I updated my FA account with one very spicy, tentacl-y, demon-y, yiff piece that will have a part 2 next week. (^_^)*

Don't judge me. It is an old piece that I revived after forgetting to finish it for FOUR YEARS.

I will leave a teaser here in....2-7 business days.

  13. You can follow my NSFW account in Furaffinity and/or help me fill my dusty gallery by commissioning your naughties from me - first 3 clients get their pieces in reduced price to help get the ball rolling!

Please share so I can find clients this month and pay my bills in July <3

  15. Fur Affinity is fully back online.
Let's see how long ya'll Furrys need to break it again by everyone trying to upload everything all at once! 😄

    #Furry #FurAffinity

  16. Happy #CoatiMonday! It is really, really weird how #FurAffinity continues to struggle with the servers, huh? Well, I did what I could to help out but you know, some folks don't know what to do with helpful animals on their side and everything and you know a lot of their servers have a really good mouth feel. Lot of crunch. I recommend it!

My own art, which you can find at www.furaffinity. ... ... waaaaait a minute.

Little bit of an artistic stretch for me this time as I colored using a simulated watercolor brush, rather than the more basic flood-fill and ink-brush that I've been used to. I like the loose feel of that.

  17. With FurAffinity still being down its once again a good reminder to diversify your online art galleries and keep your art backed up.

    #furry #furaffinity #furryart

  18. Also: Once Fur Affinity is fully back I hope they won't die again immediately by the influx of everyone uploading all the queued up stuff at the same time. 😅

(Also, "queue" is a fucked up English word and I'll never write it correctly the first time!)

    #Furry #FurAffinity

  19. That’s it; I’m moving back to Yerf. I just have to download my #FurAffinity gallery to copy it over and. … D’oh!

  20. Deploying the emergency #FurAffinity replacement mechanism of having @Loosf posing in still-life tableaux.

(This isn't really needed yet but it's so happy being labelled as an emergency mechanism.)

  21. Are there any art archive sites for furry art? Particularly ones that aren't a nightmare to publish on like Itaku

    #furryart #furaffinity

  22. Although since this started with their doing upgrades maybe #FurAffinity accidentally deleted a load-bearing kink.

  23. These fuckers who's purpose is to shill for #Bluesky on #Furaffinity get more an more insolent and annoying. And the most upsetting part is that their deception as "grassroots" show and tell works.

  24. is an image gallery .

gallery-dl downloads images in galleries or pages from many different websites. gallery-dl supports extracting images from , , , , , (Sina) , , and many other websites. gallery-dl also supports complex downloading rules and can be easily extended to support new websites.

    Website 🔗️: github.com/mikf/gallery-dl

  25. Since people are migrating due to the policy change I'm considering those sites as alt galleries

Which one do you like better? I'm also a writer so I'd love to know which of the two has better support for us

Dev isn't affected by the policy change so I'm gonna be fine on FA #furaffinity #sofurry #weasyl

  26. I have discovered #itaku, a new social network that it's a better version of #furaffinity .

    - Has a clean and accessible UI
    - Option to have an AD profile
    - Tags
    - If you want to upload an image it must have at least 5 tags
    - User search
    - You can mark your profile as an artist
    - You can create commissions to sell them at a fixed price or by auction. These commissions can be offers, a request, adopts or ychs.
    - Lots of filters to find what you are looking to

  27. CW: Long-form post; social media alternatives to birdsite

A few months after the Muskening over on birdsite, it's become clear which of the alternatives are getting more engagement for my work and which ones aren't. Obviously, birdsite is where I get the most engagement, but that's just not fair because I already had everything established there before all this shit happened.

    tl;dr:
    ✔ Mastodon, FurAffinity, Itaku
    ❌ Inkblot, Cohost

Ever since I started posting here again, I got a lot more engagement than I thought I would. Also, I just like its features better than birdsite, so I'm definitely gonna stick around for the foreseeable future.

FurAffinity has also seen a LOT of activity since I started to actually use it to post my art instead of looking at other art. Yeah, the site feels like it's in the beginning of Web 2.0 and lacks many of the features I got spoiled on, but definitely a keeper as well.

Itaku took some time getting used to, but there's definitely a desire for my work there. I'm not the biggest fan of how it handles community moderation of content, and some of the features could be streamlined for a better user experience, but I can deal with it.

Inkblot feels weird. It's got most of the features I ever wanted from an art-centric social media. The dev team did a wonderful job on it. However, it feels kinda barren. I barely get any activity there, and it's probably because it's kinda tedious to look for new art and artists there. Their search functionality is sorta garbage, and I may not use it further.

Cohost was the first of the alternatives I signed up for because it felt like twitter. However, the site culture feels like it's more for the long-form writing and coding crowd than it is for artists, so I'm probably gonna stop using it too.

Let me know what you think about the birdsite alternatives in the comments!

  28. I can use #postybirb to post my #FurryArt on my #Pixelfed gallery with keywords and #alttext, at the same time as regular websites such as #furaffinity. I can repost the pics from my Pixelfed gallery on my Calckey account for everyone to see, both on Calckey and #Mastodon, without any voodoo manipulation, it's just a click away.

Damn, technology can be good, and I'm really thankful to the devs for sharing this kind of tools for free.

Also big up to my friend @terrencefoxfur for hosting the Pixelfed and #Calckey instances I'm on, and for his help!
