  1. EML: Summer of Momentum

A Summer of Momentum: Chart Success, Artist Breakthroughs & a Growing EML Network

The past few weeks have delivered another remarkable run of achievements for artists across the Electronic Music Lovers label group.

From sustained Beatport chart positions and radio support to major compilation placements, press coverage, remix opportunities and recognition beyond the labels themselves, this summer has shown that momentum is developing in more ways than one.

And while chart positions are always worth celebrating, some of the most encouraging developments have happened away from the charts — as artists connected with EML continue to build their own profiles, reach new audiences and gain recognition across the wider electronic music scene.

    Beatport Momentum Continues

Beatport has continued to provide plenty to celebrate across both EML Recordings and EDM Addicts, with releases appearing across Trance, Funky House, Melodic House & Techno, Mainstage and House charts throughout recent weeks.

One of the latest successes comes from AMC & Uliana Zar, whose Fly [With Me Tonight] has climbed to #5 in the Beatport Trance Releases chart.

That result follows another particularly strong Trance showing from SJM, with Horizon Line reaching #3 in the Beatport Trance Releases chart, while its Extended Mix also entered the Trance Hype Singles chart.

Over on EDM Addicts, HELiiN – My Weakness Is You reached an impressive #3 in the Funky House Releases chart.

    Other recent Beatport highlights include:

    • JARR Head, Alphed Le Cornett & Jyntraxx – Quantum Arc reaching #20 in the Trance Hype Singles chart.
    • Pure Oxide – We Control The Sunlight reaching #21 in the Trance Hype Singles chart.
    • Darren Glancy & Arturis – Silent Scream climbing to #21 in the Trance Hype Singles chart.
    • Jan Johnston & Camma – Sugar Rush reaching #21 in Melodic House & Techno and maintaining its chart presence for several weeks.
    • Flukus – At The Edge entering both the Trance Hype Singles and Trance Releases charts.
    • ROSSCOJACK – Think About You Tonight entering the House Hype Singles chart.
    • Flukus – Rhythm charting across Mainstage Releases and Hype Singles.
    • JARR Head & Juan Obando – Layers entering the Trance Hype Singles chart.

Perhaps one of the strongest stories, however, has been the longevity of Funky Resistance – Hove, Actually.

After reaching as high as #3 in the Funky House Releases chart, the track remained inside the Beatport Top 100 for more than 65 days — an increasingly rare example of a release continuing to find an audience well beyond its initial release window.

Funky Resistance also saw Zombie Generation make its third re-entry into the Funky House Releases chart.

Individual chart positions come and go. What is becoming much more significant is the consistency: different artists, different genres and different releases continuing to appear across the charts week after week.

    Support Beyond the Charts

Of course, Beatport represents only one part of the picture.

Throughout the summer, artists connected with EML have continued to receive support from DJs and radio stations, including FreshSoundz, BBC Introducing and Dance Revolution.

A particular thank you must go to Dance Revolution, who have shown fantastic continued support for Fallon’s Cry – Aftermath.

Rather than a single isolated play, Dance Revolution have continued to feature Fallon across multiple weeks throughout the summer — exactly the kind of sustained support that can help new music continue reaching listeners long after release day.

To everyone playing, sharing, supporting and introducing our artists to new audiences: thank you. Independent electronic music grows through relationships like these.

Lorna James Continues to Build Momentum

It has also been fantastic to see Lorna James continuing to build momentum beyond her work with EML.

Lorna has received support through BBC Introducing and has also recently attracted regional press coverage — further evidence of an artist whose profile continues to develop both behind the decks and through her own music.

We believe an artist’s success should never be measured solely by what happens on one record label. Seeing artists from within the EML community gaining recognition elsewhere is something worth celebrating in its own right.

    JARR Head Earns Tiësto Support

That same principle applies to JARR Head, who has also had reason to celebrate after one of his productions received support from global dance music heavyweight Tiësto.

The track in question was not an EML release, and the achievement belongs firmly to JARR Head and the team behind that particular record.

But when an artist we work with gets their music into the hands of one of the world’s most recognised DJs, we are still going to celebrate it.

Artist development is bigger than any individual catalogue.

From Beatport Charts to the Industry Conversation

EML’s recent Beatport results have also led to opportunities to discuss the bigger picture behind independent label chart performance.

EML founder and label manager Dan recently joined Electro Fans as a guest panellist for a discussion centred around Beatport chart success.

The conversation provided an opportunity to look beyond the headline chart number and discuss some of the work, strategy and realities involved in giving independent electronic music the best possible chance of finding an audience.

Being able to contribute to conversations like this is particularly important to us. EML has always been about more than simply uploading records and moving on to the next release.

The goal is to learn from every campaign, understand what works, share knowledge and continue improving the platform around our artists.

15 Remix Winners Join the Broken Project

Another major recent milestone has been the conclusion of the EML Broken Remix Competition.

After receiving entries from producers bringing their own interpretations, ideas and production styles to the project, 15 winning remixes were selected to move forward.

Remix competitions have always been about more than simply finding another version of a track. At their best, they create an opportunity for producers to be discovered, challenge themselves creatively and become part of something larger than the original release.

We want to congratulate every producer selected and thank everybody who took the time to enter.

The standard of submissions made the selection process anything but easy.

    Flukus Confirmed for D.Trance 115

Another significant piece of news comes from Flukus, whose Beyond (Original Mix) has been officially confirmed for inclusion on the forthcoming D.Trance 115 compilation.

The long-running D.Trance compilation series has established its own dedicated audience within harder-edged Trance, and the inclusion represents another important piece of external recognition for both Flukus and his music.

D.Trance 115 is scheduled for release on 11 September 2026.

For us, this is another particularly encouraging development because it represents success beyond our own release campaigns: third-party compilation licensing and an EML artist’s music travelling into another established electronic music platform.

More Ways to Discover the Music

Behind the releases themselves, we have also continued developing the media network that helps give artists another route to listeners.

    EDM Addicts Radio

EDM Addicts Radio continues broadcasting electronic music 24 hours a day and now has its own dedicated home at EML-Radio.com.

The station gives us another way to support the music surrounding the labels, provide continued rotation beyond release week and create a destination for listeners who simply want to switch on and discover electronic music.

    The Electronic Music Lovers Podcast

The Electronic Music Lovers Podcast also now has a dedicated online home at EMLPodcast.com.

Hosted by AMC, the podcast provides another platform for DJ mixes, new music and releases from across the EML label group, helping connect the records with listeners in a longer-form format.

    Momentum, Not Milestones

It would be easy to look at the past few weeks as a collection of individual milestones.

    A #3 here. A #5 there. A radio play. A press feature. A compilation placement.

But individually those moments only tell part of the story.

What matters more is what begins to happen when they start appearing together.

Different artists are charting. Records are remaining visible beyond their initial release window. Radio stations are returning to artists repeatedly. Producers are being discovered through remix projects. Artists are earning recognition outside the label. Music is finding its way onto third-party compilations. And EML-owned platforms are creating additional places for that music to be heard.

That is the kind of progress we want to build upon.

We remain an independent label group, and there is a huge amount still to do. But independence also means that every genuine piece of progress matters — particularly when that progress belongs to the artists who trust us with their music.

So to every artist, DJ, radio presenter, journalist, producer, listener, supporter and music buyer who has played a part in the past few weeks:

    Thank you.

    We’ll keep building.
