We're lucky to have a breeding colony of fulmars at our local cliffs in Rottingdean. These wonderful sea birds are petrels and related to the albatross. They resemble gulls, but have stiff wings and tube-noses. They also cackle rather than squawk! Here's a couple of photos I took today when I had a spare half hour with the camera. #fulmar #seabird #Rottingdean #nature #wildlife #BirdsOfMastodon

Followed by a visit to see the Blue-headed Wagtail at South Huish Marsh.

A first walk after the frost down to the coast and back. The wind is has south in it for the first time in more than a week, and the fulmars were loving it, messing around in the up draughts. A buzzard joined in later. #Fulmar #Glamorgan #LlantwitMajor
