Several years ago, a friend of mine posted online that he was selling some figures, including this set.
I inquired too late. Someone else had already picked it up.
Years later, I saw it at Mandarake in Akihabara. It was near the beginning of my Japan trip, so instead of lugging it around the country I figured I'd buy it on the way back through Tokyo. When I went back, it had sold.
For the past couple years, I've just been watching eBay. Finally, a decent price came around.

I got this Full Metal Panic! light novel and this Slayers light novel among my birthday gifts today.

Finished detailing. All those white elements you can see are plaplate. The knife came with a horrible sheath, so I used magnets instead. I haven't touched the winged super thruster because I don't want to take the focus off the mobile suit. I still need to mount the armament and a stand that is included - with such a backpack it can't stand up on its own -, but I'll be ready. I think I'll add a little more detail (plaplate and holes) and send it to the paint booth. All in gray (3), dark red contrast and white 1/144 decals. To decompress from the month spent on the Sinanju Stein, I did the ARX-8 Laevatein in about a weekend. Definitely easier, but the HG style fiddly parts were bothersome after dealing with an MG. #gunpla #fullmetalpanic #invisiblevictory #laevatein #arx8
