Bacon Vs Turkey Bacon: Which Breakfast Meat Has More Protein?
“Beef. It’s what’s for dinner” was a popular campaign slogan launched in the 1990s to promote the American cattle industry and beef consumption. On the opposite side of the day from suppertime, one might we…

A delicious lunch at Number 12 in #Helmsley followed by a #scone later in #Scarborough. Misty all day but no rain so no complaints.

@claudiom However, I do find food fascinating.
I won't bore you with the history of the #fullenglish unless you'd like to me, to, but the things which come from that, other places miss out on, are:
Fried bread: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fried_bread
Black Pudding: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_pudding
White Pudding: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/White_pudding
Baked Beans: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baked_beans
Happy to discuss. :)

@claudiom Nice! Although it's nice bread, I would not expect to see it as a breakfast item. Well, not as part of a #fullenglish
I'm not saying that's what you were eating, far from it, but I just hope the appropriate "rules" for your meal were being followed.

Break fast and eat things!
Ok fine, I'll have what he's having. Almost a full English. Missing the bangers and mushrooms. So maybe a three quarter English.

I’m out and about this morning, and unfortunately, I had some technical issues with my Mac and couldn’t prepare my usual photos. So, you can have a photo taken just before Christmas of a delicious full English breakfast I had at Taylor’s in Scarborough.
It’s become a special treat for us to enjoy on the morning we drive home from the rental cottage.
The view outside was absolutely breathtaking too.

Personal fun (not really) fact about #Whitby, where #GraysonPerry is now sat, eating fish and chips on the programme: It's the place in England where we were served the worst pint of Old Peculier ever. It had a creamflow head on it. Old Peculier should not have a creamflow head on it. It shouldn't have a head on it at all. No idea why northerners pour it like that. It's all kind of wrong. Changes the taste beyond recognition.
-
Interesting bit just then on #GraysonPerry touching on whether rich, posh, landed gentry people from the north are "northerners" in the sense of what most people in England consider a northerner. It's a problem, though, when a show hits extremes of people. You'll get well-off, posh people in Cheshire or St Helens who'd definitely qualify as northerners, so what's the actual dividing line that says yes or no? Tricky one.

#GraysonPerry is hitting the north of England tonight for #FullEnglish on Channel 4 right now, and he's starting with some Northern Soul dancing. We've seen some properly good Northern Soul dancers on several occasions and it's a dance style we adore, with fabulous music as accompaniment. I've even been known to throw in a few Northern Soul dance steps myself on occasion.

"I do struggle with grime. It's not my genre." #GraysonPerry #FullEnglish

UK viewers, Channel 4, and #GraysonPerry now is looking at what it means to be English when you're not white. #FullEnglish
-
Enjoyable first episode, but #GraysonPerry programmes always are, and nice to see him touch upon the fact that looking back to the past - whether some perceived glorious, heroic past of racist England, or some idyllic, everyone at peace with nature past of traditional England - is very, very white. Midlands next week, and a far more culturally diverse England to take in. Well worth catching if you missed it. #FullEnglish

Love the various #pagan bits we're seeing in this programme. My wife's cousin is in two Morris sides (or was, the last time I checked with him). #GraysonPerry #FullEnglish

#GraysonPerry singing to a White Van Man from the north is what good TV is all about. #FullEnglish

There is something very, very satisfying about a good #AfternoonTea but we've never actually done one in England. We've had some fancy ones on cruise ships, though, and would probably rate #VirginVoyages as best at them, much to our own surprise. #GraysonPerry #FullEnglish

I think I've just seen a Wet Druid contest taking place on British TV. #GraysonPerry #FullEnglish

Really hoping these druids put the racist defender of Dover inside a Wicker Man before the end of this programme. #GraysonPerry #FullEnglish

Amused by the adverts in the first break of this #GraysonPerry #FullEnglish programme: Riviera Cruises, then MSC Cruises, then Expedia travel booking. Or, to put it another way, here's how to get away from England after you've watched this.
-
Watching a programme on Channel 4: #GraysonPerry looking into what it means to be #English and it's started with a small-brained, xenophobic defender of #Dover from the fear of immigrants who's almost immediately mentioned how children are being taught that being white is bad so, yeah, not a show for anyone with blood pressure issues to view.
