Dazu es gibt Ausblicke auf zukünftige Forschungen und die Möglichkeit, Fragen an die Astrophysiker:innen zu stellen

I'm a German #creative person, living in #Edinburgh and #Lübeck. I've been sneakily changing to only using #OpenSource tools (#Inkscape #Krita #Scribus #Blender etc.) and so far no one has complained ^__^

Aside from #illustration and #GraphicDesign I've also been doing a lot of #3D / #fulldome work, which is a good mix!

I love #nature and #science (especially #astronomy 🤩), progressive #fantasy, #folktales and everything nerdy. #FightFascism!

@zerodean @vultureaudio I actually did recently, we did a #fulldome project with #Blender last year. Since #Eevee can't do fulldome renders (there's an (abandoned?) #addon but it doesn't do previews in 3D view so it's not ideal) we used #Cycles but we still wanted a #shadeless #shader for some #MotionGraphic elements and #typography, I'm pretty sure we went with the Is Camera Ray in the end as well ^__^

An experiment in revisiting footage I shot whilst working as a conservation expeditioner at Mawson's Huts, #Antarctica in 2009-10. NeRFs and Gaussian Splatting enable novel ways of interrogating databases of images and video in unprecedented detail, enabling new insights into heritage and remote sites. Digital heritage is as significant as physical heritage. Of course, there’s no reason this can’t now be rendered #stereoscopically, for #fulldome or #XR devices, especially with #generative fill trained on #loras.

Hi, I'm Peter - by day I'm a #Sciartist, developing different types of #Science and #Art #Visualizations using #GameEngines #Fulldome #XR. I have a PhD in #ComputationalGeophysics, specialising in #DataVisualization, and another in #Semiotics and #ArtHistory. I'm fascinated by #Antarctica #Wilderness #DigitalHeritage and worried about #ClimateChange, so I try and make work that explores these to aid understanding. I've made #Fulldome movies about #DarkMatter and #AboriginalSonglines, and experiment with novel types of #ImmersiveMedia and #HCI for #Museum and #GLAM applications. By night my magpie interests range across #Astrodon to #ml and #CognitiveNeuroscience, #Mathstodon #Consilience #Literature #Philosophy - I read a lot. I had the pleasure to work on this 3D interior for a fulldome production of „20.000 Leagues Under the Sea“ by electronic music pioneers U96 and the Planetarium Hamburg. I designed and modelled the bridge of the Nautilus and my brother did the exterior scenes.
