Worst part of my damn brain is that I'm so unmotivated. To do anything. Every day since December has been an absolute slog. There's not enough recovery but I'm doing bare minimum. I think I better call my cardiologist. #POTS #SAD #MentalHealth #FuckWinter

Went for my walk. Did laps in the driveway. Peaceful & quiet, except the crunching of snow. I did only 6 laps because I got nauseous & dizzy, as a POTS body does. 🙄
Left photo is a white woman in a black hood with a multicolored wool hat on under it. Snow is building up on the hood. The bottom part covers my smile. Right photo is a row of 6 footprints to show how many laps I did. You can tell how hard it's snowing because the first footprint is almost buried again.

Back to #SquareDancing lessons tonight, after 2 weeks off for the holidays. I'm still messing up calls and honestly, I'm inwardly so angry at myself about it. (Grr, brain!!) I keep feeling like my dancemates are annoyed by it but I know they're not. We all laugh. I'm concerned that guys will stop asking me to dance. Plenty of partners this evening at least.
Also have to get back on the #KickingTheShitOutOfPOTS train. Choo, choo! It's just been so windy & unpleasantly, bitterly cold. #FuckWinter

About 4 months ago I started having an evening cup of ginger tea. It's comforting. If you're someone who's always cold, I recommend it. I buy in bulk from The Teaspot in Colorado. I recommend not buying grocery store dust. Get the real stuff, even if it's from another retailer. #SpoilYourself

I drive my kid to the bus stop every morning. We live on a quiet road with no street lights or sidewalks & he's at the bus stop alone so I drive him. But my car is going into the shop tonight & Older Kidlet's car is buried under a foot of snow (plus whatever husband snowblowed on top). I gave it the ol' college try to dig the car out but that was a fail. Younger Kidlet will just have to walk up and wait for the bus. I guess I'll find him a flashlight. I hate this so much. #FuckWinter

If you miss the sound of #songbirds in the winter I have a solution. Put up a bird feeder or two & fill them with high quality bird food. My preference is a 20lb bag of Wild Bird Supreme Blend from WBU. Is it almost $50? Yeah. But my #MentalHealth is worth it. I get a 5lb bags of dried mealworms. Blue birds LOVE mealworms & I love seeing them daily. I hear songbirds every day. I think my feeders are the reason. Birds hang out now. I love seeing & listening to them. #FuckWinter #nature

@Heidiknits I would, except here in Sussex UK we don't have winter yet. I've barely got the heating on. Lots of disruption - regular storms, heavy rain, and right now quite sprightly wind. But basically just an extended miserable British autumn. I reckon we'll have an absolutely freezing February. Then it'll be #FuckWinter and #FuckFebruary. And there'll be some dimwit saying "See? This global warming stuff is all nonsense."

It‘s a little below freezing but I ventured out on my bike nevertheless. Heart rate during these 3.5 km felt like it was beyond scale… #FuckWinter #EBike2Work
