Currently sitting with my seven year old in the living room at 3:34am, trying to decide if his rasping breathing and cough (which he was earlier sobbing and crying that he couldn't breathe) is worth the $$$$$$$s (WITH employer-sponsored health "insurance") to take him to the emergency room. He's now playing Zelda and acting mostly normal, so I better not. But having to make that judgement call, "is my child actually dying enough that I need to spend $$$$$$$$$$$s taking him to the emergency room for treatment" is a sign of a piece of shit country.
