I did good work this morning, I filtered a user for (mis)using one of our systems for "research" (read: scraping websites for training data). The user won't know for a bit that their work was stopped, because I sent signal=STOP to all processes. This user was scraping websites on 4 different machines for over 8 hours. They were caught because I monitor how quick the Ethernet NICs respond to SSH requests within the network. I seriously dislike LLM junkies....

One of the reasons “AI is inevitable!!!” as we were all told was that AI images would become indistinguishable from human-made ones.

Have you noticed that that is...totally, absolutely NOT the case? 4 years and hundreds of billions later, shit looks like ass. With odd trends like the “Studio Ghibli Meme” orange filter, it seems *easier* to pick out slop than ever, not harder. The fingers meme is gone, but it is still obvious and uglier than Satan himself.

Pour valider ma formation de reconversion pro, j'ai un dossier de 100 pages à rendre qui sera 100% fait humain.
Mon souci : je voudrais aussi empêcher les lecteur'ices et valideur'euses d'utiliser des #llm.
Je pensais mettre des phrases cachées pour "interdire" ou pourrir tout usage par une IA. Évidemment, pour aller au bout de la logique, impossible de faire des tests.

Des idées si c'est possible et comment ?

So, another low point with LLM users is that the uninformed (read: too lazy to learn something) have the audacity to tell you that your configuration is WRONG. The irony here is that the user is _WRONG_. Instead of spending a few moments trying to understand how Slurm's hostlist notation functions, the user probably spent more time getting INCORRECT information.

This is the future, people. We will have "eternal september" (forever) and users will say WE ARE WRONG 🤣 🤣
