So I'm driving home to my Mom's place in a city I don't know that well, so I read off her address to the Android Auto in the rental, and this irritating male voice says “that appears to be a residential neighborhood, and driving there will take you about 16 minutes. Shall I add it as a destination?" What walking-vacant-space product manager thought this was an improvement over just popping the route and time onto the screen with a "Start" button (that starts itself in a bit)?

Google Assistant has been enshittified! Every single advance into "AI" for Google Assistant past the initial genius ML model has been worse for simple use-cases.
