i've had a tension headache for like three days now. my sons had colds and i've felt not so great these past days but have been taking all precautions, including sleeping early so as not to put even more stress on my immune system because #fuckCancer #fuckCOVID and #fuckFascism

so am going to take my antihistamines, turn on my electric blanket and melt on my bed until i dream of baby goats, kittens, orcas, all the fur & feather babies and this shiba inu on a swing.

Illness is weird. The drive to make ourselves get up and do things just hitting a wall. Every time I exert myself a bit, my fever spikes. I really just have to lie the fuck down and do nothing for days. I hate this.

Just rolled out the patch against the JN.1 exploit. Went smoothly within 5min and without downtime.

Only downside is, there is no DIY patch package, you have to be onsite for any deployment.

I know missing a kid's birthday party is pretty minor in the grand scheme of things, but I've already lost enough to covid. I lost my mom in part to covid. I hate how this all played out that covid prevention and protection somehow became a controversial political topic. Making me actually scared to protect myself better, because I have been harassed for it in the past.

i did go out the other day, but TBH am even more paranoid about any kind of infection, #flu #theCold whatever since ending in the emergency room.

so even though my sons are here, it's been a very #sociallyDistant holiday season since turkey day; but my chosen family understands and that makes me happy.

Logged an incident report at work explaining how I got this infection from a maskless co-worker because I was forced to be onsite and they knew their partner had "a mystery cold" and could work from home whenever they want but chose to come in anyway.

I don't believe anything will come of it, though.

My friend’s loss triggered my grief over my dad and grief brain took over for about a week.

I didn’t even know that was a thing.

My mental health is still on very shaky ground so I won’t be posting for now.

I discovered today while searching for something else that gluten intolerance could cause neuropathy, joint pain, as well as depression, anxiety, and brain fog. Going to see if being more restrictive with gluten will help.

Sadly, my BFF’s dad passed away on Tuesday. ❤️‍🩹😢❤️‍🩹

Grief is exhausting. Even when it’s not your own. My heart hurts for my friend having lost her last parent.

He went to the hospital end of December for long COVID and they discovered cancer. It was aggressive lymphoma and long COVID weakened his immune system so he could not even begin to fight it.

Please stand by as my brain recalibrates. I have zero bandwidth.

It’s unclear whether it’s complications from long COVID or cancer, but things are getting worse for my BFF’s dad in Edmonton. I asked if she wanted to talk but she was about to drive home from the hospital and knew she would cry.

Has anyone heard of #LongCovid worsening after a year without a new infection?

I've been doing scent training for 10 mo without improvement. I've had ok sense of #smell from about a half inch below my nose and corresponding low level of #taste. Nothing from further away. But they were both present

I woke up 2 days ago with zero sense of smell or taste- worse than when I was sick last Feb. Nothing while chopping garlic or eating a fresh clementine. Nada

But I am otherwise totally healthy - no congestion, no allergies and no new exposure
