Because it's such a special day today, I went to the supermarket and bought more stuff than I needed, way more! Why limit yourself? More food!
Then I gave the extra groceries bag to the local food bank who were collecting just outside the supermarket and went home with what I needed.
Feel an urge to spend more money today? Do something useful with it.
