Just got an old iMac running on @elementary!! I think it might become the new main rig for my recording studio, I just have to get in there and clean out all the dust. It hasn't been cleaned in the almost 15 years its existed, but after that I bet it has enough power to be a great music making machine. I'll finally have a rig dedicated to it!

Wie viele Menschen litten und leiden unter monotoner Arbeit und kleinem Lohn in den Fabriken in Asien?
Wie viele Ressourcen wurden schon verschwendet, wie viele Ladekabel und Apple-Produkte wurden insgesamt schon weggeworfen und sind jetzt auf einer Müllhalde in Afrika (Welcome to Sodom), wo sie von Kühen gefressen und bitterarmen Menschen auseinandergebaut werden?
Wie viele Arbeitsstunden sind schon in das mühevolle Reparieren von Apple-Produkten geflossen, die bei effizientem und raffinierten Design (siehe Lenovo iFixit Score 10/10), massiv weniger sein könnten?
Wie viele Menschen sind auf das Bullshit-Marketing von Apple hereingefallen, das ihnen verkauft, dass sie das "Shiny-New-Thing" brauchen, zum einen psychologisch, um cool zu sein und dazuzugehören und zum anderen, weil sie ja den noch minimal besseren Prozessor und die brandneue Kamera die noch etwas mehr Megapixel hat, brauchen, weil es ja soooo krasse technische Entwicklungen sind.
Wie viele iPhones sind schon kaputt gegangen, nachdem sie ein Mal runtergefallen sind?
Wie viele Steuern wurden schon von Apple hinterzogen, weil sie so viel Macht haben, um damit Anwält:innen zu bezahlen, die das für sie regeln oder ihren Firmensitz in Irland haben undsoweiter?

Wenn die wirklich Interesse hätten, die Welt voranzubringen, dann würden ihre Ingenieur-Teams Produkte open-source entwickeln, mit maximaler Effizienz, Zuverlässigkeit, vielleicht auch modular, damit man sie super einfach reparieren kann und updaten kann. Aber nein, es muss jedes verdammte Jahr ein neues #fckiphone "auf den Markt kommen", weil.
Und das gilt übrigens für die meisten großen Konzerne da draußen. Wir leben in einer primitiven Gesellschaft, die monetäre Effizienz über technische Effizienz stellt und das ist ein Menschheitsverbrechen, weil es unser Potenzial zurückhält und viele viele unnötige Verschwendung, Leid und Zerstörung zurücklässt!
Das darunterliegende Problem, das Apple dazu gebracht hat, solche Dinge zu tun?
