  6. A grafted mango tree can begin producing fruit years earlier than a seed-grown tree.

That means faster food security, faster shade, and faster ecosystem recovery for schools and communities.

Youth-led grafting projects are climate action in practical form

  26. Apple trees in full bloom. Hopefully the crows will stay away this year, and we can enjoy our apples. #mastodaoine #gardening #fruittrees

  27. We had #fruitTrees when I was a kid but I kept eating their children.

  28. I moistened and removed the skins of the seeds on everything that was up today. 7 pots of plums growing. I was worried the dry tops would shrink wrap them. In the wild they'd be coming out of the pit which I assume would be stuck to skin part. Much easier than doing this with pepper seedlings.

  33. Our backyard apple tree is in full bloom now 💗
I don't know what kind of apple tree it is but it produces very large, juicy apples. The taste is sweet with a bit of tartness.

  34. There might be some pears set, not that the trees are big enough to support them. I might end up letting a few grown and bag them and tie the bags to stakes. Comice and Bosc. They both looks like they have some vigor this year too, lots of new growth pushing out.

  35. A couple of the plum pots are showing some green and a lot of them are showing signs of pushing the soil up.
