For the first time in a fortnight the temperature in my part of Blighty is above zero (a heady 2॰)...the heavy frost is gone, there is water where once was only ice and I can sit down on my steps to smoke my ciggies again :)

Another day at the pond, all the little seagulls lined up.

Wish I'd had my camera ready earlier,. Sitting in the car, I was taken by surprise as a dark cloud swept overhead, I looked up and felt the whoosh of giant wings as a huge flock of Canadian geese swooped overhead and came into land on the pond. Awesome experience.

Devastating news about the children on the Lake in Solihul. 😢 Tonight I saw teens jumping on the ice at the Lakes edge where I do school pickup. Wandered over and suggested they step away from the edge, as I do not relish reading about them in the papers tomorrow. Felt awkward doing it, and my daughter said I was embarrassing. But I couldn't watch and do nothing. Stay safe folks
