pt 3 The mountains were looking pretty, with recent snow and a bit of morning light hitting the peaks, lingering haze/fog/smoke making them look more like paintings than photographs. (Note: I'm not super close to the mountains, the shots are zoomed- the less near looking shot gives a better idea of how they appear to the naked eye, though even that is a bit zoomed).

pt 2
3 unusual things about this day:
- I was up before sunrise
-I was on foot in town (I don't live in town, most shopping is done before or after work, extra trips are very targeted- some particular store or service that's needed in/out)
-I had the camera (I don't take it to work, no time/no place to put it, I just have it in the car en route).
A couple of hours later shopping + car done back on the way home. Mostly near town it was a bit foggy/frosty.

#ArtAdventCalendar Day 11 Frosted dead spruce branches at the edge of woods, and deep winter shadows.. Not exactly warm, but yesterday was a bit milder, so I spent more time outside- got some wood cut and took a few photos and a bit of video- of course I missed the early sun...lol Today much colder and fresh snow- still hoping to get a quick bit of wood harvesting in but I won't hang around outside too long. #pagan #photography #BorealForest #Alberta #winter #frostodon

#ArtAdventCalendar Day 06 Yesterday afternoon was overcast, a bit of snow, bit of ice fog had left the trees slightly frosted (hoping for some nice white views today!). We've had many days of at least part cloud + #snow though generally light it was just really frequent! We've also had a protracted #cold spell- not as cold as many places, we haven't been below around -35C/-31F a couple of times, so not extreme for us, but odder that it hasn't warmed up for a couple of weeks- we expect more ups and downs..lol (coming later this week above freezing!) Now- a couple of clear days - this was yesterday morning

Until we reached the top (this is like 100m before the benches), it hadn't occurred to me that fog was humidity, and that it would stick to and freeze _somewhere_ in below 0.

This is not #BlackAndWhite ! We've had #Snow most days in the last week plus-not huge amounts but enough to make a #WinterWonderland
with little wind + no melting temperatures to disturb the white! Should start to shift a bit today- some wind then warmer temperatures next week . There is likely some #frost #rime #FrozenFog on those branches as well
