The 57-year-old had been attempting to cycle 300 miles (483km) in three days in Canada's Northwest Territories to raise money for the Duke of Edinburgh's Award....
March average temperatures in the Northwestern Territories range from -13C to -23C (8.6 to -9.4F) - but the region was particularly cold on Friday, dropping to -30C in places.
Wind chills were as cold as -36C, which can cause frostbite to set in in as little as 10 minutes. Extremities such as fingers and toes are particularly vulnerable...."

Just saw a Brit on BBC news reporting from the National Mall with bright red ears, he’s shivering and stomping his feet. Why would they send someone who doesn’t know how to dress in the winter? I hope someone at least suggests purchasing a hat to the poor guy.

For the first time since they changed the name from #WindChill #Warning, nearly all of the #Northland is under a #Extreme #Cold Warning from Saturday night through Tuesday morning.
Wind chills as cold as 45-below are possible. #Frostbite can form in as little as 10 minutes on exposed skin, plus the increase risk for #hypothermia if you are outside with improper clothing.

Woke up in middle of the night with dull pain in the toes.
Fingers, nose and ears also icy.
Probably just blood circulation to the extremities being restricted to preserve warmth at the core.
Pulled on some thick socks & extra blanket, rubbing hands to restore some circulation.
Annoying, but probably not Raynaud's phenomenon...yet.

#DeadSpace2 being “on hold” it’s really disheartening. The first remake was good, even if sales were below EA expectations.
Given how #EAMotive is now busy with #Battlefield and the new #IronMan game, it highly doubt the sequel will come soon. Plus, no new studio would want to work with #Frostbite.
I still think it would have got better sales if it was released just before Halloween, but instead it slipped to January.
