↪️What do they say about #dxday? ↩️[1/3]
"Even if in its first edition, dxday has all it takes to become an unmissable appointment for all #frontends who want to become even better day after day"
""It was an honor to be a part of such a stellar event, and I'm already looking forward to next year's conference. 🎤🇮🇹"
So, why would you miss the second edition?😃

CW: Detubifier - Replace Enshittified Services' URLs With Nonenshittified Front Ends.
First published on kaka.farm.
I am writing an Emacs package called detubifier.
It is dedicated to replacing the enshittified URLs of social media services, e.g. youtube or reddit, with their nonenshittified free software front ends, e.g. https://invidious.io/ or https://farside.link/.
I am not clear on the API and just adding functions, like a wrapper over
browse-url, another function which changes URLs in the kill ring or a marked region. Just chucking her in the ute 🛻. There's heaps of space. Also, I assume I am reinventing this particular sort of wheel, and it is coming out as a squircle. I shall reuse this joke in the future.

Now that a bunch of code in GitHub repos isn't visible without running MicroSoft's proprietary JS, it would be great to have a software freedom-protecting front-end for browsing GH itself. Of course, Free Code projects moving off GH onto community-hosted code forges is the ideal solution, but in the meantime...
