Not the whole ride, as planned. At the top of Long Hill, where I'd lost the rest of the lads who went south, I dropped down to Errwood reservoir (BLOODY FAST DESCENT!) then picked up the trail by another reservoir. Ah, the classic "I swear I'm exercising and not just stopping to look at pretty trees" perspective. 🚴♂️🌲
Sunlight filtering through the canopy, a crisp paved trail ahead, and absolutely no traffic in sight. If only every Tuesday morning felt like a smooth, shaded coast through the woods. Why can't every week be half term??? Still, it's always great to get out, despite the forecast.
