Wild mix yesterday. Explored Squadratinhos around Erndtebrück which resulted in quite a bit bushwhacking. Tried my new iPhone 17 Pro camera out and compared it to my 15 Pro and my Olympus OMD E-M5. And did some Tempo and Threshold work on the bike in-between.

A superb solo Sunday 50km ride on the Grav-i-Ti. Picked up the Peak Forest canal, near home, all the way to Disley. Then onto the hard, climby tracks around Lyme Park before heading back through Chadkirk, then back onto the canal at Romiley and head home. Lots of wildlife, including a beautiful pair of Mandarin ducks. Last weekend (9/27 to 9/29), I travelled to Northern Michigan with a friend for Fargo Sub-48 - a bikepacking adventure event. This was my first ever bikepacking adventure and it was a fun one. Great fun, and we missed the rain. Mind you, I could have done without the relentless 14-16%ers in the last 5km! I've never been more happy to have a huge sprocket on the back!

#NBD Today, I finally picked up my 60th birthday present to myself (it was last October!), a North Road Cycles Grav-i-Ti. I got the tram down to Sale Moor and rode Nollaig back via the gravel/rocks/sand/cobbles tracks that run alongside the River Mersey, from Sale Moor to Stockport. Then onto tarmac for the last 9km home. Of course, it got filthy so had its first wash later in the afternoon, too!
