#Fripp and #Eno #EveningStar LP (1975)
My housemate had this on tape and I have misremembered pretty much every part of this release (apart from the fact Eno was on it). I thought it was Cluster and Eno. I thought it was a concept album about inert elements from the periodic table of elements so I am surprised I manged to track this down and share it.

This is pure bliss. The whole LP is great ambient business.

In The Court of The Crimson King, the documentary about curmudgeon Robert Fripp and the band King Crimson on tour begins its tour of U.S. theaters today including #Seattle

I've been obsessed with KC's work since the '80's, including #RobertFripp #Fripp, #BrianEno #Eno, #BillBruford #Bruford, #AdrianBelew #Belew . It has so much emotion and complexity, it really has a soul to it.

Key subplot includes Bill Rieflin of #Seattle who died in 2020 of cancer, but chose to play with #KingCrimson despite the pain.

In the Court of the Crimson King screens in #Seattle at Grand Illusion Cinema on November 8 and 9 and at Regal Thornton Place on November 8.

Fripp & Eno - No Pussyfooting

Recorded around the same time as Here Come the Warm Jets, this collaboration is what created Frippertronics.

The two side-long tracks are always *interesting*, but not necessarily in an *engaging* way...

#SundaArc is a new find for me, but via an old route, the Gondwana label that also is the home of Gogo Penguin, Jasmine Myra, Portico Quartet, and Mammal Hands... the aesthetic is a more processed but not sterile sound. It hints at #Fripp & #Eno, #Basinski, #JonHassell, #Vangelis and even #DougWimbish‘s ambient dub-EDM in places, but isn’t trying to mimic any of those things."
