CW: Spoilers for "Summer of '36" / why I don't recommend it
It's a new French murder mystery series on Netflix with strong Agatha Christie vibes (only not as good) plus gorgeous production values.
BUT the show starts with an all white cast. It then introduces a solitary Black character, and a few episodes later it kills him off in act of violence to make a point about racism (and about how "good" the MC is).
If you're a writer, don't do this.

ooh. I highly, highly, HIGHLY recommend the original French series this is based on: The Bureau (original title: Le bureau des légendes)
[Unfortunately, at the moment it's only maybe on Fandango, Apple TV, AMC, Plex?... so that's probably a non-starter]
But The Bureau is far and away the best show of its type I have maybe ever seen. Hands down.
If you get a chance to see it... do.
I was *really* looking forward to this American remake, but from the reviews I've read, now... I'm not sure.
