Since @calyxos has resolved it's issues and has published current versions again, I've flashed my #FP4 which is running #Android 16 now and is back on OTA updates.

I've used #seedvault for the first time and I'm very impressed! This was the best set-up process on a phone I had so far. Seedvault restored nearly everything without any issues. Thank you so much!

Ich hab seit langem mal wieder versucht, ein #Android-Handy zu flashen, und musste lernen, dass das Ding echt gebricked ist, weil

* fest mit einem unbekannten Google-Konto eines Vorbesitzers verknüpft und
* USB-Debugging aus / Bootloader locked

Ganz schön ärgerlich, ein früher teueres und noch voll funktionsfähiges, schnelles Gerät nicht weiternutzen zu können. Ich verstehe ja die Idee mit dem Diebstahlschutz, aber so ist es auch vollkommen absurd.

@iodetech_de Thank you. We have lots of information on the #FreeYourAndroid website about different ROMs. There will also soon be more tests there. I noticed that even so my co-worker @floriansnow and others from @fsfe tested iodé we did not yet list it there. @floriansnow fixed that on https://fsfe.org/activities/android/liberate.en.html#OS and also removed the note about @calyxinstitute .

After several years, I finally found a #FreeSoftware workout timer for #Android which is comparable to my standalone timer I used for ages. Here the @fdroidorg link:

It is simple, fast to configure, and fixes one of the blockers I had with other apps before: I can listen to music, and get just brief audio notification about the next interval. Over the last months I could now travel without packing a separate timer and batteries.
