From a project management perspective this just reeks of a reactionary type top down 💩 type dictated 'get it done at any cost type -ism' and the poor hostages left there are #hardcore stuck trying to scramble to fix it. But this is not that surprising after 80% - 90% of the people who worked there got laid off or quit, init? Less distinguished engineers left means not many that understand how 'the platform' works per sé. This does make some interesting breakages at scale occur I have noticed though. #analytics especially.
