I'm contacting Shoreline, Colquitz & Esquimalt Middle schools in September, to ask if I can use their fields for free, to teach free mushrooms growing workshops & other free beneficial community resiliency/useful life-skills workshops. I need to acquire one popup event tent & one fold out table to run portable community educational workshops.

It will be for me & neighbours & some of my grassroots comrades with diverse skillsets to mutually teach & mutually learn - citizens to citizens.

Maybe we should brand this as #skillshare and not education? No one is getting a degree from what we are doing. Perhaps i have spent too much time in the #reallyreallyfreemarket and #freeschool ecosystem to understand how the general public sees the word "education" (not to mention that i am in the 4th generation of "mainstream" educators...literally everyone living in the generation older than me is a formal educator or retired, as are my brother and wife...and at least 2 neighbors)
