The quick version: Pandora was taken against her will by #NHS mental health staff on the 4th of June, and held on authority of her being an immediate danger to herself. During this time they took away her HRT and when she complained about this, they tried to hold her for 6 months. It took the combined forces of Reddit, Twitter, the Fediverse, and Tumblr to provide support for her, advocating for her rights before she was finally given HRT, and staff stopped torturing her. Since then she had been allowed some additional freedom and was expecting her release on Tuesday.

I just got off the phone with the ward. They confirmed #PandoraHolmes is there and said she is "ok". No definition of what that means.

When I asked about her going silent, they said it's her choice not to respond. I asked more directly if she had her phone and was allowed to communicate and the nurse wouldnt answer me.

Call +44 115 969 1300 and ask to be put through to Highbury hospital, Rowan 2 ward. Ask after her, ask why she has not responded, if she has her phone, if there are any restrictions on her communication.

Attention: #PandoraHolmes has disappeared.

On Tuesday, she was originally expecting to leave hospital for her new flat, but this was not ready, so instead she was allowed to go home to her current flat for the day

Her cat, who was being looked after by a neighbour while she had been taken, escaped yesterday and she spent the day looking for her. She overstayed the time she was meant to be back while looking for her, and her last message was that police had been sent to get her.

She has not been heard from since around 18:30 yesterday UK time. It is now 14:30 the next day.

What she needs now is people telling her story, people who will spring back into action if needed. People who will help keep her time inside comfortable and safe, and make sure the staff can see we are watching and they can't go back to mistreating her.

We are making a difference.

Make sure #PandoraHolmes stays on HRT. Make sure they don't use this opportunity to take it away. she is still receiving test after test after test. "We're from the government and here to help.". Hold the NHS accountable, to help her, not hurt her. Pandora has been DIYing for 2 years and has never had her levels tested. Make sure they are actually stabilising her levels correctly and not trying to bring her back off HRT in a controlled way.

Hold them accountable. Speak truth to power.

I am tired, but I must keep fighting for her. I am sorry this update is so fragmented. I have pushed myself beyond limits for 36 hours or more. Because this mistreatment of trans people must end here.

I wish I had the strength to do it all myself, but I don't. No one person does. We are more than the sum of our parts.

This isn't over. Pandora is still in hospital. She is still being followed around by staff. We will find out tonight whether they are going to allow her to sleep or not.

We need to keep this in the public eye so she isn't retaliated against. We need to make sure she is the last victim of this fucked up system, and get justice for any others who weren't as lucky as her. We need to make sure she stays on HRT.

14 Jun: #NHS have again promised #PandoraHolmes #HRT, this time she is supposed to be getting her first dose today.

This still isn't over. Hold them to their word, and make sure they don't take it away again.

Also, remember: Pandora is almost certainly not the first.

We need to expose this torture for what it is, prevent future victims, and get some justice for others.

Pandora is still not free. Even with HRT, we need to make sure the NHS isn't keeping her in an unsafe environment, or holding her on false pretences.

Guards have been waking her up every 10 minutes while she is trying to sleep. She has not had a night's sleep in three days.

Sleep deprivation is torture. She is being singled out for this torture - this is only happening to her.

This is retaliation. The NHS wanted to put a woman in a men's ward. The police had to intervene to prevent it. The staff at I'm sure I don't need to explain what would have happened.

They want to keep her for 6 months, and they are trying to gaslight her into doing something for them to justify it.

They are calling her dysphoria "paranoid delusions". Dysphoria that they are causing.

I would've snapped long before now. Let Pandora know she's not alone. Not forgotten. Don't rest until she's free. Hold those responsible accountable.

• 11 June: The fifth video - she has been moved to a different hospital, and afforded some dignity, at least no longer in a cell, although the NHS were trying to place her in a male ward until the police had to intervene and told the NHS staff it would be dangerous for her. A week without HRT, no "consultant" yet again. Some highly excessive testing (the second round), against #NHS policy for people who have already started HRT, and the promise of HRT yet again pushed back another day.

• 9 June (cont'd): In a third video, Pandora has been allowed "outside", at this point having been off HRT for almost a week and in clear emotional distress. Staff have been telling her that the has to stop her HRT. At this point she has not been given food for three days, although has been allowed her first drink in at least two days.A fourth video shows she was promised a "consultant" the next day, but also that this was not the first time HRT was promised and then not given, but also that Pandora has started to receive some help, with the Liberal Democrat candidate contacting the Care Quality Commission and a solicitor (lawyer for the Americans)
