    @arca0 @kline Well, rasengan said he wanted to decentralize and remove the threat to the network.

    Forcing everyone from his network to the community-run network is a rather effective way of doing that. 😁

    Nice. Why the topic was in violation? It was telling people that the official channel is now at libera.

    For people who were claiming to want to prevent IRC fragmentation for the benefit of the community they sure look like they're promoting fragmentation for their own benefit.

    I have read paste.sr.ht/blob/4f5c7a6b3f6ad… which took a very long time and I am not much wiser for it.

    But it seems that Mr. Lee feels like he bought the access to the servers from christel, and what he calls a hostile takeover and a threat to the network is the ops operating it as if nothing happened.

    So he sent the lawyers on them and they left, taking the community with them.

    Basically in terms of insight, sensitivity and control he is the Carrie Lam of IRC except there is no Beijing to back him up and nothing to keep people around.
