Great harvest pick of #GrannySmith #apples today. Granny Smith apples are currently one of the most expensive apples in local stores with average pricing of $2.99/lb. The apples we gleaned from one tree, were almost all perfect apples - very few with damage on them 🍏😃
These will be greatly appreciated by many food insecure folks around our community 👍💗

The community orchard park is open 24/7 to the public. We encourage locals & tourists to come by for a visit! Take a nice walk through the orchard, bring a picnic(we have tables in the orchard) & pick some fresh fruits to eat while you're there 😃

Please only pick enough fruits for you to eat. We want everyone to be able to enjoy some #FreshFruits from the community orchard! Loads of apples, pears & grapes are ready to pick & eat now. Figs will be ready very soon too!

@Firesphere I would like to do the same, I have both these items as well. Let’s get cracking. I just find somewhere to mount the pi on the e-bike, (hook in power somehow, splitter?) then we write timestamps and coordinates to a file?

With this data we will liberate the fruit supply.

Oh, you want an apple? I can find you the closest fruiting apple tree, we got a log for that.
