  1. I just figured out how to add a note to some highlighted text in the Kindle desktop application with NVDA. I couldn't figure it out at all with JAWS. Anyone know how to do this with JAWS?

  3. Sometimes I come up with the most obvious ideas! I just used JAWS Picture Smart to read a dialog where JAWS wouldn't read anything but the buttons. After using Picture Smart I knew I wanted to click the "Maybe later" button. Now it seems so obvious, and I'm kicking myself for not having thought about this months if not years ago!

  5. I just sent the following suggestion to Freedom Scientific using the email address [email protected].

The JAWS key sequence alt+shift+l brings up a list of misspelled words in MS Word but not in the new MS Outlook. It would be nice if it did.

  6. We love hearing how K-12 students use our assistive technology to learn and grow. If you know a student who uses Vispero JAWS, ZoomText, or Fusion software, consider nominating them for Student of the Month.

It’s a great way to share their story and recognize the effort they put into their education. Learn more: freedomscientific.com/studento

  9. Meet the Freedom Scientific Student of the Month! Kenny is a high school student who uses JAWS on his school computer to navigate websites and complete school assignments. “I really do think it is the best screen reader of them all. I use it to navigate Schoology, our main learning platform, and access Google Docs, watch videos, and send email.”

  10. If you're just going to tell me to use NVDA, don't reply. I have a problem. I updated Parallels recently, and for the second time, JAWS decided that it was no longer registered with my VM. I have no clue how I fixed this the first time. It was like it fixed itself or something. Can I please get some help on how to resolve this? Thanks! #Blind #JAWS2025 #FreedomScientific #Screenreader
