From Karen Elizabeth Park's "Ex Voto" newsletter comes a story both entirely believable and incredible about the Freedom250.org website (which seems coordinated with, but not hosted by, the Trump federal government): it uses fake quotes from fake people, apparently generated with #AI.

And bonus: although all major founding-era figures OF COURSE had their portraits painted, many several times, the site uses #AISlop for its founders' gallery.

Plus warmed-over nineteenth-century mythmaking masquerading as #history. What's not to hate?
