If you're acquired, make sure you get an email out to all your shareholders, a.k.a. former employees with exercised stock options, about the acquisition _before_ the law firm handling the acquisition sends them email containing the code they'll need to access their stock option payout.
In other, definitely related news, my former employer #Numerated has apparently been acquired by #MoodysAnalytics, and I'll be getting some money from my stock. -

❌ I've seen a Python Recruiter here in the UK charging people up to £200 for CV/Resume Reviews and job searching advice.
This sort of thing really annoys me. Very anti-opensource! 🤬

I don't think anyone remembers the old internet wisdom, but you aren't supposed to feed the trolls. If someone posts something insanely stupid on the internet, there are two possibilities.
1. The person really is insanely stupid and your reaction won't change their mind.
2. The person is actually a troll and is looking for reactions because they get off on it.Either way, if you respond, you lose....
Don't feed the Trolls.
Have a nice day.

When discussing an issue, it's always a bad idea to respond in kind when you are exposed to personal attacks. Keep focusing on the matter at hand. Be the better person, and kill their impudence with knowledge, wit and impeccable manners!

My orchids are blooming in my home office. I've noticed a pattern in zoom meetings from colleagues:
Them: Oh, I see you have orchids. To get them to bloom you need to do...(a litany of various tips ensue)
Me: Oh, thanks! Do you have orchids too?

@loveisgrief I recall in the #freeadvice.com forums a story where a visiting cheerleader team showed up to a high school & could not find the visitor locker rooms so the coach instructed the girls to change in the hallway. That hallway had video surveillance. An upset mother approached the law advice forum & asked if minors being videotaped changing was legally actionable. Lawyers said: No, GTFO
