#MissKittyRaw When I go to #FredMeyer in #Seattle I wonder if I feel like animals in a #zoo. smh. For real. I am the most looked at object in the store while there. Give me a break. #PINKS
-
There are different corporations involved. Windmill Mushrooms has been retaliating & refusing to bargain with workers who want to organize in the #PNW - those are subject to #Boycott
Glad to know there's a supplier using #Union #Labor
Gonna look for a place to buy that brand#Safeway & #FredMeyer in #Tacoma both sell Windmill ๐
What's disgusting?

The last 2 deliveries from Fred Meyer (they use instacart) have been excellent. Found everything except for a couple of items, which they breezily replaced with my requests. They delivered to me on-time, double-bagged where heavy, and used freezer bags for the frozen food.
As quick as I am to gripe about bad service, I need to be equally quick to praise good service. I give each a ๐ฏ!
-
Oh. I got a response from Kroger. In part, it reads:
I want to assure you that we take such matters seriously, and I've immediately shared the details of your experience with our management team for swift action. We understand the importance of timely and accurate service, and we are committed to addressing this issue promptly.
-
Oh. Hey. I don't know if I want to eat the box of Kind bars that Katie W. put a hole in.
They have a lid you punch out. She delivered one punched.
Now, I can't say for certain when the lid got punched. Perhaps when she grabbed it in the store as she was thinking to herself, "I'm going to toss this guy's groceries down hard on his porch," she had given her grip some extra oomph, and that did it. Perhaps it happened when she dropped my bags onto concrete just before she turned on her heels and stomped off. It's hard for me to say. I can't read her mind, but the story her passive-aggressive behavior told is that she hated delivering groceries to my door, that's for sure.
I had FedEx deliver a 50 pound box. No stomping, no dropping, no passive-aggression. Weird.
I'd like to say a word about the quality packaging of Ocean Spray Cranberry juice bottles, as well as Arm & Hammer detergent. Slammed down hard onto concrete, one in each hand, and did not spring a purple/blue leak. ๐
Are the wrappings on all of the Kind bars inside of the lid-punched box okay, or did Katie W.'s behavior cut small holes in one or more of them? Should the customer require a microscope and a laboratory to inspect packages we're delivered by angry Instacart/Fred Meyer shoppers?
Hm. I wonder what the CEOs of Kroger, Fred Meyer, and Instacart would think of a delivery made to their door like this one. They should ask for Katie W.
I should go do something constructive, or I'll spend the next however many hours griping about this treatment until the people at Fred Meyer, open until 9:30 PM ET, yet ignoring me, decide to respond to another stupid, griping customer. Will we ever leave them alone?
-
Never throw a person's groceries at their porch while they are standing there, evaluating you for your tip, Katie W., or they might be a long-time customer who is not about to put up with MAGA-ass shit on an otherwise lovely Sunday.
And never lie about what happened when the customer is standing right there, Katie W. The reason you didn't take a picture isn't because I was there. It's because you tossed the last bag, it fell over, and you stomped off in a huff.
Unfit to deliver groceries.
She dropped every bag hard - the ones she didn't toss, that is.
Pissing off people on social media is like pissing off people who buy ink by the barrel., Katie W., passive-aggressive bag tosser.
-
I couldn't leave a survey. Fred Meyer's website is turning into a POS.
I used their contact form, god only knows if anyone sees them on Sunday.
I used their horrible phone messaging app. You can't leave a message, but you can talk to the hand, which will lecture you about something that has nothing to do with what you called about.
I used their nearly-horrible chat, which does nothing more than the email contact form.
They are inaccessible, unresponsive, and are forcing me to pay that passive-aggressive grocery bag abuser a TIP!
Katie W also lied about why she couldn't post a photo of my groceries. SHE THREW THE LAST BAG, IT FELL OVER, SHE STOMPED OFF AND SLAMMED HER CAR DOOR! I WAS STANDING RIGHT THERE!
Does Katie W hate her job, hate hills, hate me, or hate men? Hard to say when the passive-aggressive bag tosser won't even respond to a friendly, "HI," which I offered after she dropped the first bags hard on the porch.
-
I usually shop for groceries once a f-ing month. I don't have a car right now. I live on a hill. I rely on deliveries. The Instacart delivery person - PAID TO DELIVER GROCERIES, AND WHO GETS AN AUTOMATIC TIP FROM US - threw $400 worth of groceries and supplies like I'd broken off our relationship.
Fred Meyer failed to accept my "Tell us how we did" response. Perhaps rating them at ZERO pisses them off. I'm pissed off, too, fat cats at Kroger and Instacart who send MAGAts to our doors.
I left a message at customer service. I'll talk to their chatbot. HEY, MUST I FIRE A FLARE TO GET PAST YOUR DIGITAL FIREWALL KEEPING CUSTOMERS FROM TELLING YOU THE TRUTH ABOUT SHITTY SERVICE?
"Katie W" can go to hell.
OTOH, "Amy" gets double tips for being pleasant, efficient, always getting orders correct, saying "Hi", and treating her customers with respect. Never have I had her throw my groceries - I WAS STANDING RIGHT THERE - at my porch, then stomp off in a huff to get another bag to toss or drop hard on the ground.
-
THEN Fred Meyer WON'T LET ME SEND MY COMMENTS! To wit:
This passive-aggressive woman who works for instacart just threw my groceries at my porch. She stomped her feet, said nothing when I said, "Hi," tossed the last bag hard enough to knock it over, then turned her back and left. I see she claimed she couldn't take a picture and blamed me. She's a liar. SHE STOMPED OFF!!
One box was torn open. I went to remove her tip, but YOU FORCE US TO TIP HORRIBLE PEOPLE! In FIVE YEARS of deliveries, NEVER have I been treated SO RUDELY AND UNPROFESSIONALLY! I wish I could tip her ZERO, but no.
I NEVER WANT THIS "KATIE W" SHOPPING FOR ME AGAIN, OR I WILL RETURN THE ENTIRE ORDER AND SHOP ELSEWHERE! That was a HORRIBLE experience from a PASSIVE-AGGRESSIVE THREAT you have FORCED ME TO TIP! Awful.

Fred Meyer is having a problem, so I can't.
I will. No passive-aggressive MAGA asshole gets away with treating a customer like shit on my watch. I'm leaving a piece of my mind, and I'm telling them I never want her to have anything to do with any order from them, period.
Horrible experience. Horrible.
I don't suppose... nope. Neither corporation would set foot on the Fediverse. They hire MAGAts to damage groceries.
-
Fred Meyer completely f'd up their interface.
Old: Start My Order was pages of choices.
New: It's a small side-scroller on a page with other side-scrollers and ads.
My old one was like 4 pages deep. Images and text were twice the size. I'm supposed to one-at-a-time this as if I'm on a cellphone?? How many damn hours do you expect people to spend scrolling through what used to be on a flat page??
Wtaf. Well, I guess FM wants us to search for new grocers, like they're the Bluesky of turnips. This may be my last order from them.
I haven't been to Safeway's site in a while. I wonder how bad it is now.
-
It's been 4 hours. I have yet to receive a code via email. I've requested a new one 3 times in the meantime.
But for now I cannot log in to my #Kroger #FredMeyer account because their IT team fails to understand either email or MFA...

"The head of the nation's largest supermarket retailer was paid $18 million in the previous year, according to the Associated Press' methodology for executive compensation that excludes pension value changes.
"The typical worker got an $1,800 pay raise, climbing 7% in 2022 to $28,644. The ratio of McMullen's pay to the median Kroger worker โ as required to be reported by the government โ was 671 to 1, a decline from the ratio of 679 to 1 in the previous year.
"Kroger earned a $2.2 billion #profit on sales of $148 billion last year. In 2022, Kroger contended with higher costs as inflation soared. Overall inflation eased in 2022, climbing 6.4% - slower than 7.2% a year earlier. But the cost of food purchased at #supermarkets and #supercenters rose at a faster rate: 11.8% - the worst calendar year increase since 1978, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
"Also last year, the grocer proposed acquiring rival #Albertsons in a $25 billion takeover bid that regulators at the Federal Trade Commission are mulling whether to approve or fight.
"In addition to Kroger stores, the Cincinnati-based grocer operates several regional supermarket chains in 35 states, including #FredMeyer, #HarrisTeeter, #Ralphs, #Marianos, #Frys, Smith's, #KingSoopers, #QFC and others. The company has nearly 2,800 stores and employs 430,000 workers."

My sister and her daughter got chastised for wearing masks by the dude working the meat counter in #FredMeyer this morning. I canโt believe there are still halfwits threatened by masks. Meanwhile a friend is battling #Covid here.

@chad what I don't get is, why does #FredMeyer charge more for plain fizzy water than for store brand sodas? ๐ค๐

Proposed #Kroger #Albertsons #megamerger affects future of #FredMeyer, #Safeway, #Vons, #Osco, #Food4Less, #HarrisTeeter #QFC stores too. Together, the two chains operate approx 5 thousand of consolidated #RetailStores under varous #BrandNames across #US and have annual revenue of more than $209 billion.
#AntiTrust issues arise everywhere, with nearly 200 #grocerystores between them in #Oregon alone, many within a mile of each other. State Attorney Generals have sought to block the massive #merger, but everyone knows #BigMoney talks loudest.
To meet #FTC requirements this week the chains announced plan to #divest at least 400 #stores to a single #SoftBank backed holding corp that operates #PigglyWiggly

andywaffen has managed to form a united front among neo-nazis, GOP chuds, IDW big brains, & other far right propagandists who are all mad that #ProudBoys member & "Unite The Right" nazi rally-goer #AndrewDuncomb has been asked not to work armed security at #FredMeyer in a city where he's been filmed participating in a bunch of fascist mob assaults. quite a sight to behold.
