@kdramarama Thanks for the tip, I'll check out #PrivateLives. I too ditched #FranklySpeaking and I couldn't watch #LoveInContract as it stars Park Min Young in her Uncanny Valley phase.

I do have some of those on the Baeksang lists already watched, but many more to add.
After #Reply1988, I also went on a Park Bo Gum quest. #HelloMonster, #Wonderand, & #WhenLifeGivesYouTangerines
And since "Jealousy Incarnate" I've also been on a Ko Kyung Pyo quest - #StrongestDeliveryMan, #FranklySpeaking, #MarriageInContract, #FlowerBoyNextDoor
I'm watching #LoveInTheMoonlight now for both my PBG & Kim You Jung quests.

At least listen to the first two minutes of his speech. -
Honestly, if you're not a fan of any of the actors in the show, I'd pass.
I'm a fan of Go Kyung Pyo & so I'm glad I watched but will most likely never rewatch.
Watch "Summer Strike" instead - such a better written story.

Frankly Speaking
(2024 - Netflix, 12 1:00 eps)The ML, a polite & proper news announcer, becomes afflicted with a disease & he now says whatever comes to mind without thinking. The FL wants his refreshing style for her variety show. For tropes, we get a love triangle, past traumas, social judgment, & 1st loves.
The premise is great & with the great cast, it starts very funny. This drama starts with a simple message about being your true self & accepting yourself & others for who they are. The writer then attempts to present these messages in a more serious manner & falls terribly flat in the last few episodes. It does get some redemption with some tremendous cuteness at the end, but the writer should have just stuck with the comedy.

I’ve completed watching the #Kdrama #FranklySpeaking and liked it very much. It’s a show that surprised me in various ways. Many funny scenes made me laugh really a lot! There are also some dramatic/tragic moments (especially in ep. 11), but then everything goes fine.
The very last 18 minutes of the series are so beautiful, with a romantic ending for the two protagonists (what else could I ask?).
I also loved the character of On Woo-Joo. She is pretty, bright, and passionate in her work. 💜 -
I’ve continued watching “Frankly Speaking” this week. At first, this drama seemed a bit silly to me. But when the protagonists started the dating show (practically, a show within the show), it became hilarious. Some scenes are so funny that I laughed until I had hiccups!
I haven’t finished it yet, but ultimately, it’s delicious and very different from how the promotional posters might make it seem!
Also, good interpretation of Kang Han-na (so pretty!).

@KoreanPassion #FranklySpeaking is the next #KDrama on my PTW, after I've finished the #ThaiDrama, #JDrama and #CDrama I'm currently watching. I too hope it's as funny as its premise posits.

The new #Netflix & #TVing #FranklySpeaking ( #비밀은없어 ) series is basically the #Kdrama reinterpretation of Jim Carrey's «Liar Liar».
