@To For #anime, I'm going to say #Fractale. It had neat social commentary on how social media and technology can impact society. But, it...honestly, was kind of forgettable. I didn't dislike it, but don't have strong feelings for it.

I don't want to get into the production issues because I was partial to both Yamakan and Azuma Hiroki.

Yamakan (still) is an internet troll, but his thoughts on the industry resonated with me.

Azuma's book on Otaku introduced me to theory and literally turned my life around.

So I was excited about what they were putting out.

I wasn't a big fan of Okada Mami, but I was still rooting episode by episode for the script to turn out okay.

Yes, the show had production issues, but they were clearly overstated given the huge expectations we all had.

Do you remember Fractale? Let's make a refresher.

Some will recall Fractale for its production issues, but most fans I'd wager simply did not know it ever existed. A charming sci-fi show from the early 2011, it shared its debut season with Puella Magi Madoka Magica. We also remember hit shows like Infinite Stratos and Level-E.

It all started with the simulcasts experiencing delays due to cease and desist letters to overseas streaming websites.

March 2011 wrote history as the 3/11 tsunami and the subsequent earthquake and nuclear disaster devastated Japan, especially the Tohoku region.

In light of the disaster, Madoka got postponed. The show fed off the apocalyptic scenario unfolding in front of our eyes.

What's interesting is that both Madoka and Fractale had similar story endings, but one of them had already been forgotten.

Je suis en train de travailler à un projet de jeu vidéo libre avec Nomys_Tempar, qu'il a appelé "Distant Dials" : un jeu en ligne où il faudra comprendre en discutant avec les autres joueurs ce qui se passe...
