So my experience with @murena #eos has not been so great since their 4.11* release. The internet connection broke after installing the release. I think it might be a broken DNS configuration on the device. After disabling automatic DNS and Advanced privacy, I was able to get the WiFi working correctly (for now) by installing #RethinkDNS. Ive also noticed a strange app running that i never noticed before from Qualcomm so maybe there coukd be an issue there as well. #fairphone #fairphone6 #fp6

Ma che bello l'ultimo aggiornamento di /e/OS per Fairphone 6 alla versione 4.1.1! Sono state introdotte due feature che aspettavo con trepidazione: il backup di app e dati (in beta, ma pare funzionante) il backup di app e dati e la trascrizione della dettatura sul device. Sono sempre più felice di aver scelto quest'accoppiata!

Ah, e finalmente siamo approdati su Android 16!

@denis kann ich mich nur anschließen. Ging vor ner Zeit schon bei der TK-Ident App los, jetzt auch bei der normalen TK App auf meinem #fp6 mit #IodeOS. Ich hab ihnen schonmal schriftlich meinen Unmut darüber mitgeteilt. Vllt müssten das mehr Leute machen.
Mit der App der #glsbank kann ich sogar digital bezahlen auf dem Gerät. Daher absolut unverständlich.

Primeras impresiones con el #FP6 y e/OS:

- El teléfono pesa muy poco para su tamaño (esto es genial)
- El sistema operativo parece Android pero no lo es (esto también, porque la curva de aprendizaje es mínima viniendo de iOS)

Algún mini susto instalando la app del banco, pero resuelto :)

Anyone having trouble with unexpectedly high mobile data? Using #Fairphone3 and android with #PhoneCoop in UK and about to switch to #FP6 and #Murena . I have very poor mobile signal at home and work so use very little data unless I'm away from home. Got a warning saying I'd used 15GB today ..which seems extremely unlikely with data turned off and no mobile signal. I suspect nasty Google added more snooping after the last update but 15GB seems impossibly high. Any thoughts masto folks? #MobileData #HighDataUsage #Google #Android

Da utente piuttosto soddisfatto di /e/OS 3 su Fairphone, sono molto curioso di sapere quali saranno le novità introdotte nella versione 4!

Ovviamente seguirò la diretta su Peertube, che mi pare la piattaforma più adatta agli ideali del progetto (anche se capisco benissimo l'esigenza, per ora, di andare in diretta anche su piattaforme più popolose).

Z cyklu nocnych rozkmin, być może pozbawionych większego sensu... Jest pewien powód, dla którego sądzę, że Fairphony to przyszłość telefonów, na który mało kto zwraca uwagę, bo jest to rzecz nieoczywista, a w szczególności dla osób, które nie siedzą w tym zakątku Internetu. Otwartość tych telefonów, łatwy dostęp bo ich "bebechów" przyczyniło się do tego, że najnowsze modele Fairphone 4, 5 oraz gen. 6 w zasadzie to jedne z najnowszych (jak nie najnowsze) telefony dostępne w bazie postmarketOS, które zarazem większość funkcjonalności mają na wiki odhaczoną jako zaimplementowaną.

W szczególności piorunująco szybki postęp zaliczył Fairphone gen. 6, który w ciągu niespełna roku od wypuszczenia na rynek prawie doskoczył poziomem wsparcia do swojego poprzednika. A wsparcie to jeszcze w tym roku ulegnie znaczącej poprawie, gdyż poczyniono gigantyczne postępy z obsługą audio na Fairphone 5, gdzie status "broken" już teraz zmienił się na "partial" i znaczacej edycji uległa dedykowana strona na wiki poświęcona problemom z audio na Fairphone 5. Poprawa audio na FP5 będzie miała również wpływ na FP6, gdyż jak czytamy na wiki: "Fairphone 6 shares the same sound amplifier as the previous version, therefore, development might be related to Fairphone 5".

Również warto odnotować to, że modele FP4 i FP5 są najlepiej wspieranymi urządzeniami na innym systemie na bazie Linuxa, Ubuntu Touch oraz jest szeroka dostępność różnych dystrybucji Androida dostępnych dla wszystkich modeli (pomijając FP6, dla którego np. nie ma jeszcze oficjalnego builda LineageOS, chociaż da się zainstalować nieoficjalny społecznościowy build). W związku z tym wszystkim, Fairphone może mieć najbardziej otwarte telefony na rynku nie tylko pod względem hardwaru, ale także i oprogramowania. Przy czym sam hardware jest świeży, bo telefonów starszych, już dawno nie wspieranych, z w miarę dobrym wsparciem mobilnych Linuxów jest trochę.

- Le château Margaut avec son bassin, et le château Peixotto, de #Talence (19:15)
- Les halles et l'église de Talence (19:50 les deux)
C'est le rendu /e/OS du #FP6 mais je pense qu'Android Stock donne de meilleurs résultats. En général je sature toujours les couleurs si je veux partager une photo que j'ai prise.

Nach knapp 3 Wochen /e/OS fühlt sich das #FP6 ohne Google unspektakulär normal an. Einzig das fehlende Maps zum Nachschlagen von Öffnungszeiten, Telefinnr. und co. ist manchmal etwas lästig.
Der Aurora Store funktioniert imho deutlich besser als die eos App Lounge.
Was ich noch nicht gut gelöst habe ist TTS (Text-to-Speech) ohne Google. Das braucht es für Naviansagen in z.B. ABetterRoutePlanner.
Falls jemand von euch hier Tipps hat, bin ich dankbar!!

So, i #didit. /e/os läuft auf dem #Fairphone6.
Ohne Google Account, mit Android Auto und NFC Payment.
Was ich gerne vorher gewusst hätte:
1) es gibt auf /e/os keinen Migrationsassistenten. => alles manuell migrieren und einrichten.
2) Wenn ihr von Stock Android flasht, unbedingt vorher die Displaysperre entfernen!!! und am besten den Google Account löschen, sonst läßt sich nachher keine Sperre einrichten.
3) Ohne GAccount gibts keine keine vorher im Store gekauften Apps.
