One the greatest differences between the Mvskoke and invading colonizers was that Mvskoke society (like most Natives) was matrilineal.

Patrilineal/patriarchal colonizers never quite figured out they were dealing with the wrong people and a better way, or if they knew, forced their less than effective arrogance anyway.

Generally, colonizer history says hundreds of years when Mvskoke history says thousands of years.

This is something to remember, even the best non-Native historical documentation has built-in bias and inaccuracy doing its best to erase or minimize Natives.

This is why you have years and years of Native people saying racist sports is hurting us and especially our children, the medical and scientific evidence is irrefutable, and white progressive "anti-racists" just don't care. Their own interests and groups of people, even if racist, matter more.

White people can't see through someone else's lens. They can only grasp how they feel about it. They can't just action on the testimony of #BIPOC people. They have to decide if it is worthy of being listened to or actioned upon according to their feelings.
