2025年11月1日から始めたミドリの連用日記。スペースは4行だけ。三日坊主の私でも無理なく続けられています :tony_wee:
裏抜けしないMD用紙なので万年筆を使っているのですが、なぜかこの Kaweco Classic Sport Mニブ x Diamine Oxford Blue（大好きなブルー）インクの組み合わせだと、やや太字になってしまうんです。
同じMニブでも、Kaweco Art Sport と他のインクの組み合わせではもっと細く書けるのに。インクの性質の違い？ニブだけ交換してみようかな。I started this Midori 5-year diary on Nov 1 last year. It’s only 4 lines a day, so I’ve managed to keep it up so far :tony_wee:
The MD paper is great and doesn’t bleed through, so I use a fountain pen.
But this Kaweco Classic Sport (M nib) with Diamine Oxford Blue (my favourite blue!) writes thicker than I expected.
My Kaweco Art Sport (M nib) and a different ink combo writes much finer on the same paper. Maybe it’s the ink? Should I try a different nib?

The Lamy Safari needs no review since seemingly everyone has one. I dislike the Safari's design and think of it as overrated, but this one looks kinda cool. (I may not like them, Minister, but I can't deny: this Safari's got style!) As for the ink, it is Diamine Forever Passion Flower and is a near-perfect match for the pen. Last #SwatchWednesday of the year with the last Cult Ink Subscription box (RIP). Sadly, half of this month were dupes.
I've also completed the Cult Iridescink set after getting an email asking for a swatch of Becky. Not sure why I hadn't picked these up sooner, but I'm liking Becky a lot.

For #SwatchWednesday today we have the penultimate Cult Ink Subscription box. Sadly, it will be coming to an end after the December box. I've really enjoyed these boxes, even when I end up with dupes—something that happened far less often than you'd think given the size of my collection.
November's box was filled with some lovely inks, with Old Gold, Silver Dawn & Silver Fox being the standouts for me. I already had Molten Bronze, hence the lack of chromatography for that one.

I’m still trying to figure out my study in the new house. I’ve been relegated to the smallest room. Apparently, because we’re actual proper adults, we’re supposed to have a guest bedroom. Really? What’s wrong with the futon?
I’ve prioritised my desk, #fountainpeninks, #fountainpens, #dippens, notebooks and an abundance of drawing materials. Two #amps, two #guitars and one #pedalboard. I need a bigger room. Mostly, because I’ve also had to prioritise a WFH desk. In the same room! My flabbers were totally gasted when my lovely wife told me. So rude!!!
And now to the pedalboard (see pic). I apologise for the silicon baby fuzzface as opposed to the germanium version - there are reasons. The tremolo being sideways - only way it fits - and the other stuff (IFYKYK); the upside down reverbs - only way they fit; the appalling cable management - laziness; and the Strymon - again IFYKYK. I will not apologise for four drive pedals. There’s no such thing as too much OD 😉 I also apologise for the beige carpet. It came with the house. As @toga will testify, they don’t cope well with ink spills…

A wee #SwatchWednesday this week.
Now that my Inkvent has arrived (no spoilers!), I've decided to dig out my #Chromatography strips to get a more accurate idea of how they're made up compared to my usual paper towel pseudo-chromatography. You can see how limited the latter is compared to the chromatograms.
The inks here are Tono & Lims Rainy Winter & Space Sunset. They're both chromashading inks with some similar notes but very different end results.

Platinum Classic Ink collection complete. It’s a lovely sight. While they all work beautifully in #FountainPens, I’m going to use them exclusively with #dipPens. They’re perfect. Especially with the fine, super-flexible nibs. Citrus is absolutely my favourite followed by Cassis I think.

I’ve had a rather disappointing new notebook day… A CAEK Mate. I used the spectacular shader that is Diamine Prussian Blue in a medium nibbed Eco. It’s a great combination when testing new paper.
It was terrible. The ink feathered and there’s absolutely no shading. I switched to the fine nibbed X159 with Ancient Copper, another great shader. No feathering this time, but again no shading. So to summarise, a great notebook for those who prefer <F nibs and flat, lifeless ink 😉

Kyo no oto No. 7 Hisoku 秘色Mise porcelain, Hisoku in Japanese, is a Tang-dynasty style of celadon ceramics. This ink seems to be going for the bluer-darker side of this kind of glaze. This is a modern example of the color that this ink is going for: https://24h.pchome.com.tw/prod/QFAEJ9-A900A78UU
Nice ink in a broader nib, dry-ish and I imagine would probably be a bit gritty on a finer nib. Very dramatic shading.

Waterman Inspired Blue
Pilot Custom FK-300R MDespite really liking Waterman inks, I have never tried this one until now—sky blue isn't really my thing generally. But this ink has some nice depth to it. I think I prefer it over Pilot Iro Kon-peki for this color "area". Thanks to @Halfcelestialelf for sending me the sample.

#NewInkDay continued — Quick and dirty swatches
The Tramol Prejudice is a dark forest green with maroon sheen. (NOTE: I incorrectly wrote Indignation on the swatch, it’s Prejudice)
The shimmers are multicolor holographic shimmer. The two colors of each ink are what the shimmer color looks like when viewed from different angles. Much more apparent in person, maybe I can take a video later.

Man darf mich wirklich nicht unbeaufsichtigt "shoppen" gehen lassen... Eigentlich wollte ich beim "großen A" nur DVD-Rohlinge und Papierhüllen suchen, dabei bin ich dann aber auf ein 5er Paket #Jinhao619 gestoßen. Das Paket #PlasticFantastic für unter 11 Euro - da konnte ich doch nicht einfach so weitergehen! 🙄😁
Ich hab mir gedacht, die beiden eher recht grell-hässlichen Pens in blau/gelb nehme ich, um neue oder selbst gemischte Tinten auszuprobieren. Wenn die anderen einigermaßen zuiverlässig funktionieren, landen sie in den Taschen für die Sofortbildkameras. Plastik zu Plastik passt, und so muss ich dann nicht immer umpacken.
Ach, ja: Beim Stöbern ist mir dann noch ein #Parker Quink #BlueBlack Tintenglas untergekommen. Preis: unter EUR 7,-- für 57ml... gleich mal eins mitgenommen, denn ein schönes #BlauSchwarz suche ich ja noch.Zu guter Letzt hab ich noch einen ganzen #Kanister #KönigsBlau / #RoyalBlue von #Rheita mitbestellt:
Auch das waren 300ml zum Hammerpreis. Und, da ich auch für meine "Allday"-Tinten in Königsblau weg von den (zweifelsohne sehr guten!) Schneider 6801- Einwegpatronen hin zum Nachfüllen aus dem Tintenglas wollte, habe ich die Gelegenheit mal genutzt. :wink:

Auch das waren 300ml zum Hammerpreis. Und, da ich auch für meine "Allday"-Tinten in Königsblau weg von den (zweifelsohne sehr guten!) Schneider 6801- Einwegpatronen hin zum Nachfüllen aus dem Tintenglas wollte, habe ich die Gelegenheit mal genutzt. :wink:
Naja, mein Mann wird dann wieder mal die Augen verdrehen, wenn der Paketzusteller nächste Woche kommt... :wink:

Man darf mich wirklich nicht unbeaufsichtigt "shoppen" gehen lassen... Eigentlich wollte ich beim "großen A" nur DVD-Rohlinge und Papierhüllen suchen, dabei bin ich dann aber auf ein 5er Paket #Jinhao619 gestoßen. Das Paket #PlasticFantastic für unter 11 Euro - da konnte ich doch nicht einfach so weitergehen! 🙄😁
Ich hab mir gedacht, die beiden eher recht grell-hässlichen Pens in blau/gelb nehme ich, um neue oder selbst gemischte Tinten auszuprobieren. Wenn die anderen einigermaßen zuiverlässig funktionieren, landen sie in den Taschen für die Sofortbildkameras. Plastik zu Plastik passt, und so muss ich dann nicht immer umpacken.
Ach, ja: Beim Stöbern ist mir dann noch ein #Parker Quink #BlueBlack Tintenglas untergekommen.
