The pseudo-intellectuals among the #MAGA types purport to be Ayn Rand acolytes. Her individualist diatribes against socialism as the highest ideal, used architecture as a vehicle. She preached that "classic" design for everything was the path of stagnant dullards, unlike her protagonist.

Meanwhile maga pushes exactly that – everyone has to wear the same hat and conform to the leader's ideology. Who's the collectivist now?

Last night I finished part 1, the first 200 pages.

I'm quite overwhelmed. I'm beginning to think I get what some of the fuzz is about.

Reading it has calmed me down. Got me to reevaluate things from perspective previously unknown to me. Pointed me to possible solutions on problems I'm working on. Some very promising.

I'm beginning to dread there is only ~500 pages left. I need more, it feels like! #Fountainhead

Of course, it helps that How I Met your Mother is a favorite series, that I've seen x times.

50 pages in and I'm enjoying reading Fountainhead.

It is fascinating and not at all what I'd expected.

It has already got me thinking, and reevaluating things. And beginning to explain why it is so *worshiped* by many conservatives. #Fountainhead

Time to get starting reading the first heavy brick of the year. 694 pages of text in small font and with minimal row space.

Will be interesting to find out why it is such a big deal with conservatives and the likes.
