#FountainPens Does the smell ever leave a Noodlers fountain pen? I’ve had a triple tail nib pen for a month and the butyric acid smell still comes off it like having an over ripe cheese accidentally left in the sun for a week. Suggestions to eliminate the smell welcomed.

I finally found the Pineider store in Manhattan, and so of course I have another pen, a Rock with an XF nib. I filled it with Iroshizuku Take-Sumi to enhance off the nice flow of the fine nib. I am fortunate that my only real vice is fountain pens.

The "two-digit" 1960-ies Montblancs are not as sought after (and not as expensive) as other models. This one, I got on-the-cheap. But it was completely clogged and the piston was stuck. Some cleaning and polishing was all it needed to get in great shape again.

Hey #FountainPens I need a bit of help with an vintage eyedropper pen (Waterman from the 20s).
Is there any way to make the pen not leak overnight?
I have already done/am doing:
- cleaned thoroughly
- greased the threads of the barrel
- made sure the ink levels are high to avoid air expanding
- store nib up

Every morning when I pick it up, the grip section, cap and nib are covered in ink and make a mess. I don't think our room temperature fluctuates enough to cause this alone? (18-21°C)

A bit on the fence with this new TWSBI Eco variant. It's much lighter than I'd prefer, but it's called Fluorite so maybe it's also fluorescent like its namesake? Currently at about a 70/30 split with 70% being pass. Time will tell.
