New Ink, New Pen, and Writing Sample

It's a three-fer tonight. First is some #ink that I'd been wanting to post for a while now. A few months back I ordered three bottles of Wordsworth & Black in when I got it on special (three bottles for the price of two).  While I posted the first two (Royal Blue and Racing Green), the third bottle took weeks to come in.  Well, here it is: Lavender Purple. Definitely much stronger on the purple side than the lavender side -- but I still really like it.

And, then there's the pen. The other day when I was placing an order for some other stuff the Jinhao X750 #fountainpen showed up in my recommended list.  And, for $8 USD, I couldn't say no. In fact, I added two of them to my cart (the other one is brushed stainless steel). I thought this one looked really cool. I have to say it's a pretty nice pen, cartridge converter, snap-on cap (really strong snap), there is a cap liner for a good seal.  The converter came installed by default. Holds about .5-.75ml of ink.

Finally, a little quote for the night.  Figured that a little Shel Silverstein was a nice break from the type Lavender quotes. ;)

All but two of these are now spent. And one that isn’t has a bolder calligraphy nib which is a little much for my scribbly whatsits today.

Time to address my beta reader feedback.

I decided I would start by writing out some scenes that may not even make their way into the manuscript, but would help me wrap my head around some of the gaps they identified.

Plus, it gives me an excuse to play with my fountain pens!

Only trouble is I have run out of ink in several of them. All in red I guess!

#montblanc Füller für Schweinegeld gekauft. Wertvolles, schönes Gerät - zu kostbar um ihn zu Benutzen.
Also habe ich mir - zum Einstieg in ein #neueshobby - einen #lamy2000 geholt. Tolles #bauhaus Design (1966, Gerd A. Müller)! Zu recht ein Klassiker.
Mag ihn lieber wie den Montblanc - quasi der prollige Snob in meiner jungen Sammlung.

I'm using the Van Diemen's Ink Azure Kingfisher Ink, a firmly fond favourite.

@backtoanalog I was told, in a repair shop, that with exception of the fountain pen nib I need to buy an new pen.
But that seems a bit far-fetched to me, because apart from the piston, the fountain pen is actually in good condition, and I doubt there isn't a replacement part for it (perhaps even made of a more durable material than cork).
