She is a good mom and the babies are thriving, but the "my safety vs her benefit" equation on giving oral meds means that she's going to get the last two doses of antibiotics in food and if she doesn't eat it, oh well.

And finally, we have the medical foster bachelors: Nimbus and Francis Noodle. Nimbus is trying hard to make Francis play with him. Francis Noodle is not always down for it.

At the time, I thought the bachelors were just arguing over who got to lie down in the kennel, but now I think Nimbus wanted Francis Noodle to come out to play with him. The other possibility is that both only wanted to be in the crate because the other wanted it. They're pretty funny together.

The bachelors (Nimbus and Francis Noodle) had their first overnight stay together and it seemed to go well. (Or, at least, they didn't wake me up with their disagreements.)
They both love kittens; adults are a little harder to handle for both of them. But all the kittens currently in the house are still quarantining, and the room Nimbus was in with eight kittens needs to be deep cleaned. So it's time to see if they get along.

(His coordination is about the same as it was, though I think I'm seeing a little more voluntary motion in his tail. Fingers crossed for continued improvement!)

Francis Noodle looks so proud of himself for climbing on top of the carrier. (His back end doesn't always work very well, so this is an accomplishment.)

Francis Noodle has tucked himself into bed, so it must be time for me to turn off the computer and turn out the light!
I'm really hoping the reason he didn't significantly improve during his month at the shelter is because he wasn't actually getting his meds. (They have in the past mixed meds in food, which works for most dogs but not cats.) I don't know if that was happening in his case. Fingers crossed he gets better rapidly while in foster.

New office kitty! This is Francis Noodle (or "Francis Nood" on the paperwork that cuts off long names). He has some neurologic issues that are probably from FIP, so he's on the 3-month antiviral protocol.
He just moved in today, but so far he has been quiet and polite!

Gnocchi has been ADOPTED!!!!!
(She's been in my office since January, we finally found adopters in March at which point she developed ringworm.)
She deserves a great home and I think she has found one!

Nimbus is trialing a playpen instead of the dog crate so he can have two litter boxes instead of just one. We'll see if that solves the problem.
I may be wrong about him being too uncoordinated to jump over the playpen walls — we'll see!

Amazing foster Lulu has gone back to the shelter! Despite trying to die on me early on, she's been doing really well for over a month now and it's time to let her find her family.

This little weirdo (medical foster Nimbus) hisses at me when he's in his crate, then purrs when I get him out. He even rolled onto his back last night so I could brush his belly. What an odd dude.
(Yes, his eyes are messed up. Hopefully they will improve with his FIP treatment.)
