    Auf verschiedenen Stationen wurden Splitter, die unteranderem den #Enkelkindern oder dem #WirtschaftsKrieg gewidmet waren, gesammelt diese bildeten schließlich ein #Kreuz. 1/x

  3. Amongst Richard Heinberg's legacy is the narration he did for this video;

  4. 6-12 inches? Won't that cover MDR?

    El Nino is growing, and becoming more dangerous than ever, because we've allowed the richest of the rich, the sociopaths' club, to rule us with their hateful, racist, corrupt, con artist insanity. All they give a rat's ass about is money. Not life. Not kids. Not the future. Not you. Not me. Not the country. Not the planet. They are selfish beyond belief. Their beliefs are born of stimulant abuse - the things they say are what my parents' generation called "drugs talking." Yet the people of this planet won't rise up, and worse than that, continue to use their abusive AI products.

    You're all doing this to us, arm-in-arm, like you're at a HS pep rally. Go team.

  6. theguardian.com/environment/20; climateoutreach.org/btc/2025/r. There is a very clear distinction between #climate #mitigation, on the one hand, & climate #adaptation, on the other. The former entails reducing the #extraction & #burning of #fossilfuels, #deforestation, #destruction of #wetlands & #animal #agriculture. The latter entails adapting to the #effects of #Climatechange, rather than doing anything to prevent further climate change. If people haven't understood THAT, they've understood NOTHING!

  7. “The only sure way to stop #climatechange is to stop burning #fossilfuels. To do this, we need to build a new #energysystem that supports human well-being while ensuring that we shut down the old fossil-fuel system as quickly as we can.” theconversation.com/yes-passing-...

  8. Oil demand is falling more than expected, partly due to record fuel prices. World oil demand will drop by 2.5 million bpd this year, the @iea.org said, more than its previous forecast of a 1.6 million bpd decline.

    However, supply is expected to decrease even faster (hence the shortage), and demand is expected to rebound by practically the same amount next year.

  9. Timothy Snyder also writes about the missed opportunity after 9/11 and the choice in the US to reduce freedom an make the world worse.

    "Americans let the terrorists set the terms: their violence and our violence. We had an opportunity to see 9/11 more deeply, and to react in a way that would have created a safer world for generations to come. And we did not take that opportunity."

    "The basic American policy response to 9/11 should have been to liberate ourselves from fossil fuels. Without our dependence on oil, we would never have been entangled in the Middle East in the first place."
