Au fait en parlant d'IA, ici sur le sujet des IA souveraines, j'avais parlé à @Khrys -- mais c'est d'intérêt général notamment pour les libristes -- de cette excellente conférence de Katharine Jarmul à laquelle j'ai assisté à #fosdem2026. Watching #FOSDEM2026 recordings of the talks, the vast majority are good. But I'm just watching one which is just... slop (I won't link it, it was in the legal & policy dev room)?

Did the presenters generate a whole video narrated in a simulacrum of their voices and just stood there after flying to Brussels to hit play? I hope that was to make a point about something... Or maybe it was so rehearsed that the delivery was perfectly timed with the slop video?

But this seems like a terrible waste of resources on multiple levels. And it fells disrespectful to the audience. I certainly hope never to see anything remotely similar in the future. @fosdem

@rmader @libcamera @mobian that thing didn't sound new to me, now I see there was a talk about libcamera tuning at #FOSDEM2026 ! AFAICS there is no tuning file in that repo's main branch, is that intended? Any further requirement beside sensor's driver to be in mainline kernel?

In a shocking turn of events, it seems #Mercurial is still clinging to life after two decades of flying under the radar, as if anyone was still checking. 🙄 FOSDEM 2026 must have been desperate for content if the main attraction was a tool nobody remembers exists! 🎉
