Tuesday will be a week without access to the balcony (on which the HOA guy has done ~4 hours of work, so far). We’re all out of sorts as no one here is a fan of disruptions to our routines and/or our peace. Here’s Mary, cranky that I’m not sitting in my usual spot (where 1/3 of the window is blocked by construction stuff).

But my shy Mary sees it as a hunting blind. She lays on it and finds her confidence as a huntress and actually joins in at playtime. The bag stays.

Someone I used to know considered Mary to be antisocial. Nope. She’s just got very firm boundaries. Be in one of the spots where she feels safe, let her come to you and she’s ALL about the loves. Her tail even puffs up and quivers with cuddle happiness.
