    #CompanyPainting dated 1778 AD signed by Shaykh Zayn al-Din of #Patna #Bihar
    From the #ImpeyAlbum, this #Painting was commissioned by Lady Impey of #Calcutta #Bengal
    Zayn's #Bird & #Animal subjects were almost always painted from life, on the English Whatman paper, using European watercolors.
    Of the 326 #Paintings brought back to England by the Impeys in 1783, 17 were of animals.
